HP Zeen Tablet Featuring Android to Launch This September

Despite the fact that HP acquired Palm (the house that built webOS), it looks like HP's first tablet is actually going to be powered by our favorite little green android. The tablet is called the Zeen, and it's not a self-sustaining machine like many of the other tablets out there. It's meant, actually, to be a companion device to HP's upcoming "Zeus" printer, and act more as an interface unit than anything else. But, it's still running Android, so that's got our interest.

Dell Streak Update to Android 2.1 Leaks [Video]

This wouldn't be the first time a version of the Android mobile Operating System leaked out ahead of its intended launch. In fact, it's pretty much a common occurrence now-a-days. Nothing wrong with that at all. This time around, it's for those over there in the UK who've managed to pick up one of Dell's Mobile Internet Devices/tablets. The leaked version hit the Internet earlier today, and plenty of Streak owners managed to go through the update process and take in all the updated goodness.

Archos 32 Internet Tablet Passes Through FCC, With Pictures

The Archos 32 Internet tablet features a 3.2-inch touchscreen display. Truth be told, we're not exactly sure that falls into the whole "tablet" range of devices at all, but we'll go ahead and give Archos the benefit of the doubt here. We know that tablet is a fancy new word now-a-days, and it will probably do well to sell more of the devices. And thanks to the FCC, we now know what it looks like.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Tablet Set to Show Off at IFA 2010

There were some grumblings that the Galaxy Tab from Samsung, the Galaxy S-based tablet, would be unveiled some time this week, but apparently that's not the case anymore. Samsung Hub has heard that the device will actually be shown off next month, in September, at this year's IFA.

Viewsonic Plans for Android 2.2 Tablet

Viewsonic, for the time being, is known pretty much predominantly for their monitors. And there's nothing wrong with that at all. But, it looks like they're ready to broaden their horizons, because they've just unveiled plans to launch an Android-based tablet some time in the future. And, shockingly enough, it's not just another run-of-the-mill tablet, either. It's actually coming with updated software!

LG Android Tablet a Bit Late, Coming Fourth Quarter 2010

We just told you that Samsung has a tablet coming out. Furthermore, we divulged that the company plans on releasing it in the third quarter of this year. And, from what we already know about it (it's the Galaxy Tab, mind you), we are pretty excited about it. Not to be left in the wind, LG Electronics has come forward and said that they, too, will have an Android-based tablet made available this year. But, it's not coming out until the fourth quarter.

Samsung Android Tablet Coming in Third Quarter 2010

When we originally saw this report, we thought, just for a moment, that it was going to say the third quarter of 2011. Imagine our surprise, and relief, that it actually means this year. Which means that it's in the coming months, folks -- not a year. But, hearing about a Samsung-manufactured tablet isn't exactly new news. In fact, it's pretty old, especially if you look at the initial sightings of the Galaxy Tab.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Tablet Gets Blurry Cam Treatment Again

When it comes to Android powered tablets, or even Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs), there's already a few options out there. But few of them are as enticing as the Samsung variant, scheduled to release some time this quarter. It's called the Galaxy Tab, and it's meant to bring all the great features of the Galaxy S lineage of devices into the tablet market, all powered by our favorite Android.

Olive Pad Is Taking Its 7-Inch Tablet Goodness To India

Whether or not you're looking at Android for your next mobile phone, there's no doubt in anyone's mind that we're also going to have to start looking at tablets a lot more seriously as 2010 continues to tick by. Companies are getting serious about their Apple competitor, and that just means more options for us. If you happen to be in India, here's a new one for you. Next month, that is.

Huawei S7 Android Tablet On Sale Now, Ships in 10 Days

The S7 tablet from Huawei hasn't necessarily been high on people's radars, but that could be because it keeps disappearing into the unknown from time to time. Last seen back at Computex earlier in the month, it's good to see that it's back, and in the best capacity it could be: for sale. That's right, if you're a lucky enough to be across the pond, or want to import something, then you can order your very own 7-inch capacitive touchscreen tablet, running Android 2.1, with a screen resolution of 800 x 480.
