T-Mobile to launch the Xperia Z3 on October 29

The Xperia Z3 is coming to town and it will be stopping by T-Mobile first. The US carrier has just announced availability details for Sony's latest and greatest to give their subscribers time to prepare and save up for the device. The Xperia Z3 will go on sale across the country starting October 29. But those too excited to get their hands on the device can opt to join the pre-order spree starting on the 15th to be able to get theirs before the national launch.

Sony announces Z3, Z3v for T-Mobile, Verizon

Today, Sony has offically unveiled their Xperia Z3 smartphone to the world. The natural iteration in their flagship lineup, the Xperia Z3 has at least one unique thing going for it. Sony will be bringing their handset to T-Mobile, which is something they’ve been doing for some time. We’re used to that, but with the Xperia Z3, Sony has figured out carriers a bit better, and will truck a variant over to Verizon, too. That Verizon model will also have one unique feature the other won’t.

Motorola device in FCC might be DROID Turbo for AT&T, T-Mobile

Another Motorola smartphone has dropped by the FCC but it might not be the device that many think or would like to think it is. Given the proximity of the dates for the next Nexus devices and next Android version announcement, it is almost too easy to presume that this would be the anticipated Motorola Nexus 6. However, it could also be something less spectacular but not entirely uninteresting to some users: a DROID Turbo/Quark not for Verzion but for its rivals AT&T and T-Mobile.

T-Mobile Moto X finally gets a taste of Android 4.4.4

The Moto X is getting a lot of love these days. Its Verizon variant is expected to arrive this September 26 and the Moto Maker site became available in the UK, Germany, and France a couple of weeks ago. Motorola is even all out with the promotion of the new Android smartphone, releasing three new Moto X ads on YouTube at once and four new apps on the Google Play Store. Pre-order started only last week and those with .edu email are given Moto X discounts. All these news make this new-gen phone a highly anticipated one.

T-Mobile rolls out updates for Galaxy S4, both HTC Ones

T-Mobile is on a roll, pardon the pun. It has just released firmware updates for the Samsung Galaxy S4, the HTC One (M7) and the HTC One M8. Though these updates aren't exactly earth-shattering, they do bring in much needed security fixes, particularly from Android 4.4.4, and one potentially interesting new feature.

T-Mobile partners with Gogo to bring in-flight text and voicemail

If you’re on a plane to another state and you suddenly remembered a very important message you have to send to your mother, you have to wait until the plane lands to be able to tell her to unplug the iron you left on in your room. But if your carrier is T-Mobile, you don’t have to wait anymore (or else your house might catch on fire or something.). The “un-carrier” has partnered with Gogo, an aero-communications service provider, so their subscribers can enjoy in-flight texting and voice messaging.

T-Mobile now offering free WiFi calls for subscribers

Someone predicted a few years back that pretty soon, mobile carriers would be obsolete since people will be doing all their messaging and calling through the Internet. Well, carriers are still here but one of them has realized that the second part of that prediction has already come true and so they are slowly adapting their business model to that scenario. T-Mobile is now flaunting that all their subscribers (given their phones have the capability to do so) will now be able to do free WiFi calling.
