Pepcom during CTIA 2011, a convention in sunny Orlando Florida some weeks ago. See below as we run through what this still-slightly-early build of the game has to offer, all of it here on the utterly new T-Mobile G-Slate!
Gameprom. The first game I ever saw made by Gameprom was SLAYER Pinball. Once I played that, I was hooked, purchasing every pinball game they made since. Unfortunately, none of those pinball games have been out on Android until now. You and I are in for a big treat, as they're going to release three games all at once, the suite called Pinball HD, and they're all coming out teamed up with NVIDIA's Tegra 2 processor - you know what that means? Time for some G-Slate action.
Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet believes that it is Right because it's got a screen that's slightly smaller than the largest contenders in this category at 8.9-inches yet it still totes NVIDIA's impressive Tegra 2 dual-core processor at 1GHz! This device can record video at 1080p, photograph at 5-megapixels on the back and 2-megapixels on the front, and yes, that is a bonus camera too! 3D recording coming your way - all this and more here!
T-Mobile G-Slate by LG, which will drop at $529.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate. A two-year voice and data plan will be mandatory to get that subsidized price on the 8.9-inch slate, however. That's unlike the other Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet we've seen, the Motorola XOOM, which only requires a data plan. Still, the G-Slate can record 3D HD video using its dual camera array, and will come with Need for Speed SHIFT HD and other apps preloaded. No official word on the exact release date, but last we heard T-Mobile was readying the G-Slate for a debut on April 20. We'll be checking it - and the G2x - out at CTIA this week. Press Release:
T-Mobile G-Slate with Google by LG: Powered by Android 3.0 (Honeycomb), the G-Slate delivers a premium mobile entertainment experience with a brilliant 8.9-inch, 3D-capable, multitouch HD display and the ability to record 3D and full HD video. With the new G-Slate, customers can access their favorite TV shows, magazines, games and more with pre-installed applications such as T-Mobile TV, Need for Speed SHIFT HD and Zinio eReader. The T-Mobile G-Slate will cost $529.99 after $100 mail-in-rebate card with a qualifying mobile broadband plan on two-year agreement, voice line and enrollment in EasyPay.
T-Mobile G-Slate. The LG girl courtesy of YouTube is one of the lucky people that has their very own G-Slate to love and enjoy. She goes through UI, Map, 3D video capture and more.
