T-Mobile G-Slate gets $100 earlybird discount

It's said that good things come to those who wait. Well, sometimes it pays to jump in early. T-Mobile is offering a $100 discount on a two year contract when users purchase the LG G-Slate and data plan before April 27th. But there's a catch.

ACER Iconia Tab A500 Review

Welcome to the next big fat item on our list of the Honeycomb wave. This is the ACER Iconia Tab A500 Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet. Inside you'll find what's basically an untouched version of Google's tablet-optimized mobile operating system with a few apps added and a couple of generally alright cameras in play for a oddly shaped package of mixed conclusions indeed. With this tablet, Acer hopes to cut holes in the tablet market. Will they have the guts to trick it out? Find out, here and now!

Riptide GP [Beta] Review / Game Demo on LG G-Slate

Well would you look at that, we've had the opportunity to have an even closer look at the wave-racing game Riptide GP, optimized for NVIDIA Tegra 2 devices, made to roll out nicely on the G-Slate! I say even close because we did get to peek at this game back at Pepcom during CTIA 2011, a convention in sunny Orlando Florida some weeks ago. See below as we run through what this still-slightly-early build of the game has to offer, all of it here on the utterly new T-Mobile G-Slate!

Pinball HD for Tegra Review

Welcome to the greatest pinball video game collection ever - ever, of all time. I apologize before we begin this "review" on account of my rare but very clear freaking out over how much I love the developers of this pinball series, Gameprom. The first game I ever saw made by Gameprom was SLAYER Pinball. Once I played that, I was hooked, purchasing every pinball game they made since. Unfortunately, none of those pinball games have been out on Android until now. You and I are in for a big treat, as they're going to release three games all at once, the suite called Pinball HD, and they're all coming out teamed up with NVIDIA's Tegra 2 processor - you know what that means? Time for some G-Slate action.

T-Mobile G-Slate Review

Welcome to the newest installment in The Tablet is Right! This Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet believes that it is Right because it's got a screen that's slightly smaller than the largest contenders in this category at 8.9-inches yet it still totes NVIDIA's impressive Tegra 2 dual-core processor at 1GHz! This device can record video at 1080p, photograph at 5-megapixels on the back and 2-megapixels on the front, and yes, that is a bonus camera too! 3D recording coming your way - all this and more here!

T-Mobile G-Slates in Stores Now [in the back]

Oh boy am I so very mad! It seems that T-Mo News has attained a cursed T-Mobile G-Slate from the black market to show the world saying that they've found it at a T-Mobile store, one of many that are receiving both the tablet and a slew of accessories like a pair of red and blue 3D glasses - the kind that they guy on Back to the Future wears! What a wacky combination! They're saying also that they believe that this and two more magical devices, (both of which we may well have on our single desk, of course,) will all be out on April 20th!

Sidekick 4G Available at Radio Shack Same Day as LG G2x and the LG G-Slate

This must be an April Fool's joke coming in a day early. What carrier in their right mind, what carrier worth their salt, what carrier in the entire world would release three gigantically flagship-title-worthy devices on the same day? T-Mobile I suppose, that's who. Radio Shack has tweeted today that the brand new T-Mobile Sidekick 4G will be coming out on April 20th, 2011.

T-Mobile G-Slate by LG gets officially priced; Mandatory voice and data

T-Mobile USA has officially priced the T-Mobile G-Slate by LG, which will drop at $529.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate. A two-year voice and data plan will be mandatory to get that subsidized price on the 8.9-inch slate, however. That's unlike the other Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet we've seen, the Motorola XOOM, which only requires a data plan. Still, the G-Slate can record 3D HD video using its dual camera array, and will come with Need for Speed SHIFT HD and other apps preloaded. No official word on the exact release date, but last we heard T-Mobile was readying the G-Slate for a debut on April 20. We'll be checking it - and the G2x - out at CTIA this week. Press Release:
T-Mobile G-Slate with Google by LG: Powered by Android 3.0 (Honeycomb), the G-Slate delivers a premium mobile entertainment experience with a brilliant 8.9-inch, 3D-capable, multitouch HD display and the ability to record 3D and full HD video. With the new G-Slate, customers can access their favorite TV shows, magazines, games and more with pre-installed applications such as T-Mobile TV, Need for Speed SHIFT HD and Zinio eReader. The T-Mobile G-Slate will cost $529.99 after $100 mail-in-rebate card with a qualifying mobile broadband plan on two-year agreement, voice line and enrollment in EasyPay.
