T-Mobile LTE now live for those in Phoenix
T-Mobile seems to have quite a bit going on at the moment, not the least of which is an event scheduled for a little later today. That event is said to be full of some big announcements, however it looks like we have already begun seeing some of them. For example, the LTE coverage has quietly been going live and we have seen those "UNcarrier" plans come available for individuals and family plans.

T-Mobile LTE quietly launches in eight cities
We had already known that T-Mobile was planning to launch their 4G LTE network this month, however it looks like they have quietly flipped the switch in select cities. What we have seen is all unofficial at the moment and is said to have come by way of OpenSignal. For those not familiar with the name, OpenSignal is a Wi-Fi and signal-finder app for Android that uses crowdsourced data.

The Super Bowl, as any American football fan will excitedly tell you, is coming up this weekend in New Orleans. Tons of fans will be flocking to the city to watch the big game take place, many of them with smartphones in their pockets. Of course, it isn't everyday you get to go to the Super Bowl, so we imagine many of them will be using those smartphones for all sorts of things during the game. Luckily, T-Mobile is up to the challenge faced with thousands of football fans tweeting, sharing, and plusing, boosting its 4G network in New Orleans before kickoff.

Motorola Atrix headed to T-Mobile UK in June
This morning some news has came up that T-Mobile UK looks to be getting the Motorola Atrix. The date I'm hearing is starting in June, but no exact time frame has been given by T-Mobile. Hopefully they plan to release it before June because by then I expect there to be more than a few dual core phones to compete with it. Sooner the better T-Mobile.

T-Mobile Hates on iPhone Team in Study
Citing a third party speed comparison in two major metropolitan areas, T-Mobile has published results that predictably puts them on top with their 4G network, while skewering AT&T and Verizon's iPhones as being as slow as a rabbit beating the turtle. In addition to claiming a speed advantage over the iPhone thanks to it's Samsung Galaxy S 4G, T-Mobile also points out that their 4G data plans start at just $10 a month, while AT&T and Verizon start at $15 and $30 respectively. Now, to be fair, the Galaxy S does run on T-Mobile's 4G network, while both AT&T and Verizon have the iPhone 4 on a 3G network. But while T-mobile wants to compare the iPhone to the Galaxy S as a tortoise to a hare, is it really more comparing apples to oranges?

T-Mobile reports $4.69 Billion in Revenue, Still loosing subscribers
Over at T-Mobile USA they may have one of the best and fastest 4G networks and download speeds. With data ARPUs rising faster than any US rival, but the carrier is still losing users. That and we can't forget they have the beautiful brunette Carly that does T-Mobile Commercials, that has to count for something right. This year the carrier saw 33.73m subscribers in Q4 2010, according to some even newer figures released today, down from 33.76m in Q3 2010 and 33.79m year-on-year. T-Mobile did mention that one of the larger shifts was with On-Contract subscribers, down a massive 318,000 – over 5x greater than in the previous three month period. That is a pretty big drop. although the pre-pay customers are up from Q3, while still being way down from T-Mobiles pre-pay figures for 2009.

Tech Bloggers the Focus of T-Mobiles new Ad
We all are familiar by now with T-Mobiles pretty Brunette girl right? Carly is her name. She is the pretty face behind T-Mobile and all their ads of late. Just like T-Mobile slaps iPhone 4 on Verizon video, and many others. Looks like this time around they have changed things up. They've went from making fun of Apple, to AT&T, & Verizon, but now they are bringing Tech Bloggers into the mix.
