Google Keyboard hits the Play Store to rival the competition [Download]

If you loved what you saw from Google's keyboard in Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, we have some excellent and rather unexpected news this evening. Google has just packaged up and delivered their completely stock (and amazing) keyboard and released it to the Google Play Store. That means most Android devices can now enjoy that absolutely stock Jelly Bean keyboard with gesture typing and all.

SwiftKey update brings fixes and improved predictions

SwiftKey 4 landed in the Google Play Store back in late-February. That arrival had marked the end of a several month beta period. But perhaps more important for today -- the SwiftKey app has recently been updated. This update is not what we would describe as major, however it does have plenty of fixes. SwiftKey is now sitting at version 4.0.1 and it remains priced at $3.99.

If you're one of the many that plan to pickup the exciting new Samsung Galaxy S4 when it arrives sometime in April, we have some good news on the typing front. Samsung has so many software features packed into the new flagship device that they forgot to mention the keyboard. Along with Android 4.2 on board, the folks from SwiftKey today have confirmed their technology is at the heart of the Galaxy S4.

SwiftKey 4 hits the Play Store, Flow available for all

The time has finally come and the SwiftKey Flow keyboard is now available to all. The extremely popular 3rd party keyboard for Android has been in a limited beta for a few months, and today SwiftKey has announced that Flow is finally ready for prime time. Only they've dropped the 'Flow' from the name and have added it as an optional feature to the keyboard. Today's the official launch of SwiftKey 4.

SwiftKey Flow Beta app update brings a long list of fixes

The latest update for SwiftKey Flow Beta has arrived. The app, as implied by the name, remains in beta which means those looking to play with the latest will need to download the APK file from the SwiftKey website. This update has brought the app up to version 4.0.0.99 and it can be found in two versions -- one for smartphones and one for tablets. The smartphone version is 5.8MB in size and the tablet version is 6.6MB in size.

SwiftKey Flow beta updated with new features and bug fixes

The team behind the wildly popular SwiftKey Flow keyboard have just issued a quick update to their VIP community as version 4.0.0.61. In the latest update to the SwiftKey Flow beta you'll enjoy tons of bug fixes, enhanced features, a better typing experience, and overall better performance. Their keyboard is still in the testing phase but works wonderfully, so read on for the full changelog and known issues.
