NVIDIA Tegra Zone Player’s Choice Awards go to GTA III and SHADOWGUN

Over the last three weeks of May the graphics guys from NVIDIA were running their first annual Tegra Zone Player's Choice Awards asking fans of NVIDIA Tegra 2 and Tegra 3 games to pick their all-time favorites. I'm sure you all joined us on our giveaway for the same 3 weeks. To celebrate their first year of Tegra Zone games they had quite the giveaway and award contest for Best Graphics, Best Gameplay and Best Overall — and today the results are in.

HTC One X Hands-On

We've gotten our first glimpse and hands-on experience with the HTC One X here at MWC 2012 and with its 4.7-inch 720p HD Super LCD2 display, brand new stylish chassis, and no less than the NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor with 4-PLUS-1 cores under the hood, this is certainly the hero to beat. This line of devices under the HTC One flag are amongst the first in a very long time from this manufacturer to be working with a non-Qualcomm chip, though as you'll find in the AT&T release of this device - that's not always true. This device runs with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, HTC's own Sense 4.0 over the top, and the whole package is difficult not to be wholly impressed by.

HTC One X Revealed and Detailed

The folks at HTC this week are revealing a whole new line of devices under the single hero flag HTC One, the top of this tier being held by the HTC One X. This device works with an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core 1.5GHz processor with NVIDIA's newly re-named 4-PLUS-1 technology in the mix. This device has a 4.7-inch Super LCD2 720 x 1280 pixel resolution display covered with a pane of Gorilla Glass, the entire unit weighs in at just 4.58 ounces, and the thickness of the device is just 9.29 mm.

HTC One Three Pillars of Quality revealed and detailed

This week at Mobile World Congress 2012 HTC has revealed its hero strategy for 2012 as HTC One, a line of premium smartphones with a set of three pillars each that qualify them as a part of their top-tier line. The first of these three tiers is an amazing camera experience - the camera you get with your smartphone is the one camera you need for your life. The second is an amazing multimedia experience, with a great screen and a wonderful audio experience with Beats Audio. The third pillar in the HTC One line is an amazing design and overall experience.

NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 fifth-core architecture will be known as 4-PLUS-1

NVIDIA just released some new information this evening regarding the Tegra 3 quad-core mobile processor. As many of you probably know the Tegra 3 quad-core actually contains five processing cores under the hood -- yes 5. In the past we've heard the term ninja core, companion core, and a few others but the new official term is 4-PLUS-1. What does this mean? Read on below.

NVIDIA shares details on Kal-El, adds a fifth core

The next revolution in the mobile market it almost here, and that is quad-core processors. We've heard tons about them in the past and are about to here plenty more in the future. Today NVIDIA is shedding some light into their world of quad-cores, project Kal-El, and even broke some news about a fifth core -- yes we said fifth as in five. Would we call that a quin-core processor?

Sony is aiming to take back the reigns of the Walkman brand with the release of the new Walkman Z. While we've heard plenty about Walkman's with Android this is real and finally here and it's a powerful dual-core personal media player powered by Android. NVIDIA roadmap leaks, Kal-El and more coming soon

NVIDIA and their Tegra 2 superchip for phones and tablets has been on a roll lately, with all the recent talk about quad-cores and Kal-El things are about to get even better this holiday season. Over the weekend a leaked roadmap showing a few us NVIDIA's upcoming plans and chips may have leaked and it shows us plans up to 2013. One interesting thing I noticed is Kal-El+ on the chart for 2012.

NVIDIA CEO talks Quad-cores and the future of mobile CPU’s

In a recent sit-down, NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang broke down all sorts of good news for the mobile industry and Android. Not afraid to talk about business or revenue Huang safely discussed the future of Android tablets, quad-core processors and NVIDIA’s role as a hardware manufacturer for Android and mobile devices.
