This evening the folks from NVIDIA have released a video for what will be known as PC Mondays. Each Monday they'll be showing an impressive PC Game or something similar running on their new Project Shield Android-powered gaming device. For the gamers around these parts today they have Borderlands 2, one graphically intensive game looking just beautiful on their Tegra 4 powered gaming device. Check it out below.

New details surface about Redbox Instant by Verizon

Netflix has been the dominate force in streaming movies and TV for a long time, but companies such as Amazon are looking to take that business from Netflix. Well, another company is going to be jumping into the fight. Redbox, the disc-based movie rental service that is in nearly every grocery store, is getting ready to launch its own streaming service, and some new details have emerged on its service.

Barnes & Noble unveils Nook Video

Barnes & Noble's series of Nook tablets and ereaders are impressive, but because of their inferior ecosystem to Amazon, the devices aren't as appealing as they could be. Barnes & Noble is working hard to change that, and today they have unveiled Nook Video, which is a new online store featuring a collection of movies and TV shows.

GameStop’s game streaming service arrives in 2013

GameStop has announced that its game streaming service will be launching in summer 2013, but at least at first, it won't be available on consoles. Dubbed "Spawn," GameStop has been talking about this cloud gaming service ever since it bought Spawn Labs back in 2011. Obviously, GameStop means to expand beyond brick and mortar retail with this move, challenging other streaming services like OnLive and Gaikai while dipping its hand in a broader range of markets in the process.

Google Nexus Q Hands-on

This week Google has introduced several new products in both the software and hardware realms, one of the oddest of these being the "first social streaming media player" called the Nexus Q. This device was shown off at Google I/O 2012 and was part of the Developer Pack given to all attendees. It's also currently on sale at the Google Play store online and will be shipped very soon - but you may be asking yourself still: what on earth is it?

HTC Media Link HD accessory Hands-on

Along with their new phones and sleek cases, HTC has another exciting option they are bringing to the table with HTC Media Link HD. This neat accessory is basically a Wifi-Direct device that allows the user to easily connect their HTC phone to their TV. This isn't a dock your phone must connect and be attached to, and it does more than just mirroring. It works over WiFi and offers dual-screen mode. Check it out after the break.

Spotify’s new Android app looks fresh, we go hands-on

Today Spotify announced their impressive brand new music streaming app for Android. Since first released last year in the US I've been patiently waiting for them to update the application, and today they've done that and more. Spotify didn't just update their app, they've completely redesigned it from top to bottom and it now feels part of the Android 4.0 ICS family with the Holo theme and more. If you're a fan of Spotify or have been considering it, you'll want to stay tuned for my hands-on video.

Flixster for Android gets updated – video streaming still poor

The hugely popular Movies by Flixster app for Android received a rather large update today in the Google Play Store. For being Friday the 13th things are looking up already. Surprisingly the update oddly lists multiple fixes for yes, Android 1.5 and 1.6 (Donut and Cupcake) devices for the few that still have them. Flixster specifically mentioned better video streaming on mobile data, which I'm not seeing any improvements on.
