Chromecast support in the works from Hulu

It looks like Hulu support will be coming to the Chromecast. There has yet to be a date announced, however statements coming from Hulu rep Meredith Kendall did confirm that work is underway. We will have to keep an eye out for an updated Hulu Plus app to land in the Google Play Store, but in the meantime, the confirmation does give subscribers something to look forward to getting.

Google announces the Chromecast for universal TV streaming

Google is busy announcing all sorts of awesome new products like the Nexus 7, but they just revealed something else that will throw many for a loop. Have you ever had a hard time getting video from your devices on your HDTV in the living room? Yes, I have too. The new Google Chromecast (dongle) will bring universal streaming from any device to your TV.

SanDisk Connect devices arriving with wireless streaming and storage

SanDisk has unveiled a pair of Connect branded devices that could help to free up some space on your smartphone or tablet. The devices are the Connect Wireless Flash Drive and the Connect Wireless Media Drive. These are both expected to arrive next month and they will both allow you to wireless stream and also transfer files to and from.

WATCH ABC app limits live streaming TV to cable subscribers

The WATCH ABC app is available in the Google Play Store and brings the promise of offering a "new way to experience ABC - anytime, anywhere." The catch here is that statement is followed up with an note about how the live streaming is only available in select markets. Not to mention, those lucky enough to be living in one of those markets will also need to be a cable television subscriber to actually do any watching. That being said, there is another side of the app that should work for more users.

MTV video-streaming apps come to iOS – Android will have to wait

Today the parent company to MTV, Viacom, has just launched a few new applications that deliver some pretty great features to those enjoy iOS devices like the iPhone. MTV, MTV2, and more have all been updated with full video-streaming capabilities, sneak peak previews and more. They have apps already on both iOS and Android, but just got improved. Sadly the Android versions will have to wait.

Verizon FiOS Mobile app arrives with 75 channels of live TV

If you happen to be an Android user and also a Verizon FiOS subscriber -- there is a new app you may want to grab. The app is called Verizon FiOS Mobile and it is currently available by way of the Google Play Store. Perhaps more important though, this app brings 75 channels worth of live streaming television to your smartphone or tablet.
