Miracast, for those unfamiliar with the name, means you can mirror the display from the device in your hand to your television. In this case we are talking about the Miracast-enabled Netgear PTV3000 meadia streamer and an Android smartphone. And thanks to the recent PTV3000 update -- you can now do just that. This update is currently available for the PTV3000 and brings support for select Android devices.

It appears as if the Plex for Android app will soon be getting a makeover. In fact, the folks at Plex are describing this as being completely rewritten from scratch and with new features to include lock-screen music controls and global search integration. On the flip side of the new features though, this updated release of Plex for Android will remove support for some older devices.

We just announced Google's recent application for a patent to bring voice controls to Google TV. Lo and behold, Able Remote does just that. It essentially turns your Android device into a Google TV remote control. The remote doesn't limit the user to simple touch commands either; swiping gestures as well as voice commands will offer users a more customized way to control their television.

Here’s another goodies from Best Buy, there will be an HDMI dock available for the HTC EVO 4G. This dock is expected to be released by the time the EVO hits the streets. This dock will support HDMI 1.4 and should be backwards compatible. But beware, early reviews of the HDMI performance of the EVO has not been favorable. There have been some reviews in which the 108P output was only recognized as 480P.
