Official Apps to SD Coming With Froyo?

Froyo is shaping up to be the biggest update since 1.5 aka cupcake. If this does come true coupled with Flash integration this may very well be the biggest update to Android since its introduction. Our staff member Extorian has uncovered some dialogue made by a Google employee that pretty much confirms this is coming.

Aigo has two new Android MIDs in the works

A Chinese manufacturer by the name of Aigo has two Android MID’s in the making. The new tablets will come in a 5 and 7 inch version. Both will be running Android 1.6, there is no word on when or if these devices will be upgraded to Android 2.1.  Price is rumored to be around 1500 Yuan which is roughly $220 and will be released in May.

SmartDevices SmartQ V5 and V7 getting Android 2.1 update

Everyone is getting some Android 2.1 love these days. The SmartQ V5 and V7 MIDs from SmartDevices will receive an update to Android 2.1. This updated will bring live wallpapers, 3D acceleration, a new UI and improved Bluetooth capabilities. The only thing missing will be multi-touch, their resistive screens is the reason for the omission of this feature.

Dell Looking Glass tablet leaks with Tegra 2

Dell is on a full on Android assault, they have many new devices in the pipeline. Seeing as how they entered the game late, they are positioning themselves to offer the most Android devices in the market. This tablet is similar to the Dell Mini 5, aka the Streak, it is a seven inch tablet. Rumors have this thing set for a November release.

HP Compaq AirLife 100 specs revealed

This isn’t the first time that we have heard news about HP’s Compaq AirLife 100. This is an Android powered netbook that we have known about since MWC. It has finally passed through the FCC and now the full specs are now available.

Android-based 10-inch imitation Ipad

I knew it wouldn’t be long until someone made an imitation iPad with Android as the OS. This device features a 600MHz ARM processor, 256 MB RAM and 1 to 64GB of storage, 10 inch screen and pricing will start around $150. And yes folks, this will be running Android, the version is not known but 1.6 is a strong contender.

SlashGear Reviews The X10

Another Android best has been handled by our friends from Slashgear. Earlier today they brought us one of the first unboxing of the highly anticipated HTC Desire. This time around, they are one of the first to review of the equally anticipated Sony Xperia X10. We’ve known, and wanted, this phone since around last October. Since then there has been multiple powerful Android handsets announced for release this year. So is it too little to for Sony or will this be their knight in shining armor.

Motorola BACKFLIP review

Our friends over at slashgear has just done a really nice review of the BACKFLIP by AT&T. This phone has been known recently as the first Android without Google Search, it was replaced by Yahoo Search. Motorola has been cranking out Android devices since the release of their first, the Cliq. This is their fourth release for the US market and the fifth overall, this is quite an amazing feat considering that they entered on the scene late in the game.

Hivision SpeedPad Android tablet at CeBIT 2010

Another day, another tablet. These things are coming out of the woodwork, it seems there are a few new ones being introduced every other week. Tablets are making a comeback in the mobile world but for how long? Hivision hopes to make a huge splash in the tablet market with their new Android SpeedPad.
