HTC Desire Confirmed for March 29th Delivery in the UK

This little tidbit of information was brought to our attention not too long ago. A user in the T-Mobile's discussion forum has received a confirmation email from T-Mobile that said his phone was in their stock and will be delivered on March 29th. Some of you lucky enough to have ordered this, only have four days until it’s in your sweaty palms. Looks like it’s time to start stalking the delivery guy again. Let the countdown begin. This was undoubtedly the hottest Android phone around the web until the recent announcement by Sprint introducing the HTC EVO 4G. Nonetheless, this is still the most “Desired” phone among fans of Android. And if you choose the right plan, it can be yours for free. These next few months we are going to see a few powerful Android devices enter into the market from various manufacturers’. I can’t wait to see what’s next; I’m still waiting on a good physical keyboard “Superphone” to be caught in some spy pictures. [via t-mobile]

Verizon HTC Incredible launching in two weeks?

This latest rumored comes straight from an inside Verizon and HTC source. Tumors have it, this phone will be in stock in two weeks, this is awesome news for all you Verizon customers. xScope Web Browser (Video)

With the recent release of Opera Mini 5, browsers have been in the spot light lately. This browser hasn't really been mentioned and that's a shame because it is one of the best browsers for Android. It has a new way off zooming with one finger; in fact it can zoom in three different ways. And there are a few other goodies are included.

Droid Does Cyanogenmod?

The awesome Android modding community continues to amaze. One of the hardest things to do is port a GSM ROM ot a CDMA phone. Koush, has recently ported the latest and greatest cyanogenmod to the Droid. Cyan's Rom's are always near the top of the hill in the custom ROM world. This is a luxury that was previously only available to users with HTC branded phones until now.

Opera Mini 5 Beta Now Available For Android

The most popular mobile browser in the world has finally made its way to Android. This version 5 seems to be light years ahead of the version 4 which has been available for quite some time. This version now offers tabbed browsing, there is a bar at the bottom that shows you the number of tabs that you have open and when you click on it a mini view of the page appears. This browser for most will replace the stock browser. Some of the other big new features: * Speed Dial: Gives you one-touch access to 9 of your favorite sites. * Password Manager * Opera Link: Syncs your bookmarks (and Speed Dial) between your handset and your desktop (be it that you’re running Opera on your desktop, that is) The only two problems I've found so far is the browser doesnt recognize my existing bookmarks and there's no Flash integration. So if you have a Flash capable phone, I would play with this but stick to the stock browser.

HTC Magic is discontinued by Vodafone

Sad news for those of you in the UK, the only Android device currently available for Vadofone is the HTC Tattoo. It was joined by the Magic but it will be discontinued when they are out of stock. Unfortunately, there is no Magic 1.2 like its US counterpart the myTouch 3G 1.2.
