Angry Birds Star Wars gameplay featured in latest trailer
We've seen a lot of trailers for Angry Birds Star Wars recently, but so far none of them have featured any actual gameplay. Instead of showing us what we'd really like to see, Rovio took famous clips from the movies and inserted its famous birds into them. Some of them were cute, others were silly, but now its time to cut out the funny business and get down to the nitty gritty: it's time for gameplay, baby!

Angry Birds Star Wars teaser shows you’re never too short to be a Stormtrooper
We have another Angry Birds Star Wars teaser to share with you today, and this one is a bit funnier than the last one we showed you. Again, this latest teaser doesn't show any gameplay footage, instead giving us another clip from the classic films. Last time, it was the scene from A New Hope where Han tells Luke and Obi-Wan about his famous Kessel run, whereas this time, we have Princess Leia asking about the stature of a curious-looking Stormtrooper.

New Angry Birds Star Wars teaser pays homage to Millennium Falcon
As a smuggler, Han Solo's talents can't be understated (except for that part with the carbonite, but let's not get into that). Han Solo's talents can only take him so far though - it's his ship, the Millennium Falcon, that does most of the work. A new teaser trailer for Angry Birds Star Wars gives the Millennium Falcon and Han Solo the respect they deserve, using one of Solo's famous lines from the films in the process.

Rovio teases incoming Angry Birds Star Wars tie-in
You may be building all kinds of crazy vehicles in Bad Piggies at the moment, but thanks to a new tease from Rovio, it looks like it won't be long before the focus is back on Angry Birds. Yesterday, Rovio tweeted a rather dark image of a hooded bird, and at the time, it wasn't immediately apparent what was being teased. Today, Rovio shared a GIF on the Angry Birds Tumblr that cleared everything up.

Darth Maul Me app prepares you to disembowel Jedis
Star Wars is coming to the theaters! Again! In 3D! And it's starting from the beginning, the classic 1976 adventure that millions fell in love with... wait, what? It's starting with Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, the lackluster beginning of the downfall of America's greatest sci-fi series? Oh, well - at least we get to see the pod racing and lightsaber duel (you know, the 11 minutes of Episode 1 that are admittedly pretty awesome). To celebrate, Lucasfilm has released the Darth Maul Me app on the Android Market, allowing you to mimic everyone's favorite double-lightsaber murder master.

Star Wars: The Old Republic comes to Android… as a security key
Jedis! Sith! Droids! And not a Gungan in sight! The wildly anticipated Star Wars: The Old Republic, a massively multiplayer entry into BioWare's amazing Knights of the Old Republic series, is making records and headlines all over the gaming world this holiday season. And now you can get a piece of that awesome experience on your Android phone! Except that you can't. Because it's a lousy confirmation app.

Verizon Wireless Trademarks “Hologram”
Verizon went ahead and registered the name "Hologram" for a future potential device, but what will it shape up to be? Given the futuristic name, it could represent a device with some new technologies we haven't seen yet - or simply another stereoscopic phone with dual cameras. I don't know about you, but when I think of hologram, I visualize the streamed holographic recordings R2D2 presented in Star Wars.

Google executive: Siri is Star Wars, Android Voice Actions is Star Trek
Sometimes it's nice to know that the executives at Google are just as nerdy as we are. At the Hong Kong event where Google and Samsung introduced the Galaxy Nexus and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, Matias Duarte, product management director for Android, answered some direct questions from the crowd. When asked to compare Siri with Android's built-in Voice Control features, he responded with an analogy that any self-respecting geek can identify with. Duarte compared Siri with the bumbling protocol droids like C3PO from Star Wars, while Voice Actions are more like the U.S.S. Enterprise's computer, where voice controls every function.

Verizon Promotes Star Wars Blu-ray with the Force [Video]
It seems that Verizon's connections with George Lucas and the whole Star Wars franchise will be continuing on into the future, as the Blu-ray release of the films have begun to be promoted by the mobile carrier this week alongside the DROID BIONIC. All you've got to do is send a text to a number and bam! You get a free little teaser video of C3PO. Lucky you though, you don't have to run up your data this month, you can see said video in the post below, for your pleasure.
