Springboard here in the U.S. you're about to get an update. Today the folks from T-Mobile have announced they'll be pushing out a software upgrade for the Springboard bringing it to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
MediaPad, also known as the T-Mobile Springboard here stateside. While it was the first 7-inch tablet to come with Android 3.2 Honeycomb, it wasn't the first to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich although they've beat most to the upgrade. Huawei has recently released the ICS update for the MediaPad and now it's available for download.
announced today that their 7" Android 3.2 Honeycomb MediaPad tablet is headed for AT&T complete with 4G speeds. It wont be powered by their LTE network but instead will have 3G/4G HSPA+ connectivity. We've seen this tablet plenty in the recent past as the award winning MediaPad and it was launched back in November on T-Mobile as the Springboard tablet. Apparently it will be available starting tomorrow for AT&T customers for a friendly price.
Huaewei MediaPad rocking ICS. This should make that budget tablet much more exciting -- that is for sure.
T-Mobile Springboard and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus. Both are 4G HSPA+ enabled devices and are quite portable. Check out the hands-on video and pictures after the break.

T-Mobile Springboard is something novel. For just $179 (after a mail-in rebate and on contract, natch) you get a 7-inch Honeycomb tablet with a 720p screen and a dual-core processor. That makes the Springboard one of the smallest tablets around, and assuming you're down with T-Mobile's mobile data fees, one of the cheapest as well. The Springboard will be available starting on November 16th.
revealed the dates on its website, but unfortunately hasn't let the prices out just yet.
