Huawei MediaPad ICS update available for download

Huawei's first quality Android tablet was their MediaPad, also known as the T-Mobile Springboard here stateside. While it was the first 7-inch tablet to come with Android 3.2 Honeycomb, it wasn't the first to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich although they've beat most to the upgrade. Huawei has recently released the ICS update for the MediaPad and now it's available for download.

Huawei MediaPad 4G hits AT&T February 3rd

Huawei announced today that their 7" Android 3.2 Honeycomb MediaPad tablet is headed for AT&T complete with 4G speeds. It wont be powered by their LTE network but instead will have 3G/4G HSPA+ connectivity. We've seen this tablet plenty in the recent past as the award winning MediaPad and it was launched back in November on T-Mobile as the Springboard tablet. Apparently it will be available starting tomorrow for AT&T customers for a friendly price.

We know the first official tablet to be running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will be the Transformer Prime, and more will be following shortly especially after all of them we are seeing at this year's CES. Today Huawei has announced their popular MediaPad Honeycomb tablet will be joining the small crowds and is now all set for Android 4.0

We all love Android tablets but choosing the right one can be a hard decision for some. Especially with the wide array of choices and options available in the market at the moment. Today I'll be showing you some pictures and a quick video comparison between both of the brand new 7" Android 3.2 Honeycomb tablets available starting today from T-Mobile. Huawei wins design award for Vision, sends Mediapad to UK

When you get shaken down by Microsoft's legal team, you know you've made it in the Android smartphone world. Chinese manufacturer Huawei has been honored with the IF Design Award for its forthcoming Vision handset, beating out considerable competition, Just a few days before helping to launch T-Mobile's de-branded Springboard tablet, Huawei has detailed plans for expanding its presence in the UK with both the Vision smartphone and the Mediapad Honeycomb tablet.

T-Mobile Springboard Review

You've got a lot of choice when looking for a new Android tablet, but the T-Mobile Springboard is something novel. For just $179 (after a mail-in rebate and on contract, natch) you get a 7-inch Honeycomb tablet with a 720p screen and a dual-core processor. That makes the Springboard one of the smallest tablets around, and assuming you're down with T-Mobile's mobile data fees, one of the cheapest as well. The Springboard will be available starting on November 16th.
