Spotify on Android. The app received a rather nice software update nearly a year ago that changed and improved the entire user interface. However, one major problem was landscape mode was missing. Google I/O we have just learned a few details regarding Play Music. We have heard a few reports and rumors over the past few weeks and months, but today it's official. Google will be taking on Spotify and other music streaming services head on. It's called Google Play Music All Access, and here's what we know.

Spotify announced their impressive brand new music streaming app for Android. Since first released last year in the US I've been patiently waiting for them to update the application, and today they've done that and more. Spotify didn't just update their app, they've completely redesigned it from top to bottom and it now feels part of the Android 4.0 ICS family with the Holo theme and more. Spotify is about to finally get a much needed, much anticipated update. We suspected an update was coming earlier this month and now can happily report that it will be available later today in beta. Spotify has completely overhauled their Android app with full Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich support as well as an impressive ICS theme too. Spotify is calling this a “top-to-bottom” app update and redesign that users will love.
