HTC One source code released
HTC has begun releasing source code for the One smartphone. The one catch as of now is that the source code has only been made available for select variants of the HTC One. Specifically, HTC has released source code for the Vodafone UK and Vodafone France variants of the One. The code is based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and the files measure in at a bit under 100MB in size.

AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note source code released
More source code news today -- and no we don't mean the Jake Gyllenhaal movie either. Today Samsung has just pushed the kernel source code out for their new Samsung Galaxy Note with AT&T LTE. The code was released some time ago but this new release is specific to the AT&T 4G LTE model that was announced last month.

Google engineer: Ice Cream Sandwich source code coming after Galaxy Nexus
Google stepped on a few toes in the enthusiastic developer and modder communities when it refused to release the open-source code for Honeycomb, yours truly among them. But it looks like that won't happen again: according to Google's Android engineer Dan Morrill, the source code for 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will be released sometime after the Galaxy Nexus. He posted the news in a Google Group dedicated to the AOSP build of Android.
