User guide of Sony Xperia C5 Ultra surfaced

Before the Xperia Z5 or the H2 phones are unveiled, Sony is set to announce the Xperia C5 Ultra. This is the first time we're hearing about the new smartphone but we have some hint about its existence. Thanks to a user guide that recently surfaced, giving us an idea that the Xperia C4 now has a followup. Well, that's a quick one considering the C4 was only announced last month. Others are saying this could be the Sony Lavender but we're taking this with a pinch of salt.

Next premium flagship Sony H2 will be “Made for Bond”

If you're a fan of anything Sony and James Bond, then this news is a double delight for you. A promo image has been leaked over the weekend of what's believed to be a Sony-James Bond partnership. The next movie "SPECTRE" is launching this coming November and we can only assume that the next Sony Xperia Z5 or the Sony H2, one of the two premium phones the company is working on ia a phone "Made for Bond".

Sony launches Concept for Android initiative for 500 users in Sweden

We don’t know exactly why Sweden and what’s with mobile users over there, but they are the “chosen country” for Sony to launch their new Concept for Android initiative. It is actually the OEMs own take on an original concept operating system, but still based on the current Android 5.1 Lollipop that their device is running on. Sony said this is part of their plan in "ensuring our products and services are as good as they possibly can be.”

Sony to roll out two new premium smartphones

No official announcement yet but Sony is said to be introducing a pair of high-end smartphones before the IFA opens in September. Rumor has it that the devices will be part of a new series, which means they won't have the Z, M, E, or C in their names. I know some of you were disappointed about the Sony Xperia Z4 (aka Xperia Z3+ in other areas) but the new series could probably be the reason why there's no new Z model this year. Perhaps Sony was just busy with the new model that the company really didn't have the time to focus much on the Z series.

Sony Xperia Z3+ users go DIY to battle heat and throttling issues

Qualcomm will have to own up to this at some point, but the performance issues that haunt the Snapdragon 810 processor are forcing Sony Xperia Z3 Plus users to extreme measures. It might be that the current Sony flagship shipped with the initial SD810 batch, that is why it suffers from performance throttling issues when the processor heats up. But it shouldn’t come to this – the smartphone’s users turning to DIY solutions like aluminum foil to combat the heating.

Android 5.1 Lollipop rolls out to Sony Xperia Z2, Z3

If you own a Sony Xperia Z2 or Z3 series phone or tablet, we’ve got some good news coming your way. Sony just announced that they are rolling out the Android 5.1 Lollipop update that you guys have been expecting for a while now. Along with the new firmware, of course, are new goodies and features for everybody.

Enabling ‘My Xperia Theft Protection’ may brick your Sony Xperia device

“My Xperia Theft Protection” (MXTP) is one of the new features found in the more recent devices of the Sony Xperia line – namely the Xperia Z4/Z3+, the Xperia Z4 Tablet, and the Xperia C4 and Xperia M4 Aqua. MXTP is unique in such a way that it offers bootloader level security to your device – in layman’s terms, this will not allow a thief to just wipe your device clean or flash a new ROM without knowing your Google login.
