T-Mobile relists the Sony Xperia Z3 on website

Earlier this April, T-Mobile discontinued its Sony Xperia Z3 deal because we thought it could be paving the way for the Sony Xperia Z4 which was already unveiled a week ago. The Xperia Z3 isn't exactly a bestseller but we were left wondering why only after six months after its official launch on the network, T-Mobile removed the model from its current lineup. But good news to those who want a Z3, T-Mobile is selling the phone and the black model is listed once again.

Sony Lifelog partners with IFTTT for new recipes for wearables

Wearables are a great way of tracking your daily activities without having to log it in a notebook, old-school style. But when you add even more "recipes" to the pot, then it will be even easier to take digital note of your fitness routines, how much calories you've consumed, how many hours you've slept, etc, particularly if you need these things for health reasons. Sony Lifelog is partnering with If This Then That (IFTTT) to create a channel specifically for owners of Sony devices.

Sony (finally) rolls out Lollipop to several Xperia Z devices

Late last week Sony told us that they will finally be bringing the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update to several Xperia Z devices, although they did not give a specific date (probably to avoid complaints if it didn't pan out). But today, they are much more confident as they announced that the rollout for the update to the Xperia Z3 Dual, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 Compact, and Xperia Z Ultra will start today and will reach worldwide markets eventually.

Sony Remote Device Lab brings Theme Creator tool

If you have tried creating a theme on Sony's Theme Creator tool, you can now test it using the Remote Device Lab. The fee web service is still in beta but it should be able to help your test your creation on real Sony Xperia devices. This is important because you check the resolution and densities on different screen sizes.

Android 5.0.2 coming to Sony Z series starting next week

"Product so and so will be receiving the Android 5.0 Lollipop update soon". This has been a common headline in a lot of tech news the past months, but some Android devices from different OEMs are still waiting for the update to rollout. Sony has been part of that kind of news when it comes not just to their Xperia devices but to their other series as well. At least now, they've finally announced a date. Well, sort of.

Mystery Sony phone clears the FCC, could be the Xperia Z4

No doubt the Xperia Z4 will be Sony's next flagship Android phone. The company skipped the Mobile World Congress last month but we saw the Xperia M4 Aqua midrange phone and the Xperia Z4 Tablet. Despite all the hype, leaked specs, front panel leaks from a Chinese source, a Geekbench apperance, the front housing and more renders being leaked, and the very recent GFXBench sighting, we have yet to see the light of the Xperia Z4.

Sony Xperia E4g now available in China and the UK

Only two months after its introduction as sibling of the Xperia E4, the Sony Xperia E4g is now available. We mentioned back in February that the Android phone will be out this April and Sony kept its promise. Well, we still have no information when and where we can get this here in the United States but the model has already been listed by ePrice in China and Expansys in the UK. North America should be receiving the phone in the next few days or weeks.

Sony Xperia Z phones getting Android 5.0 Lollipop very soon

Owners of Sony Xperia Z phones have only been waiting for the official Android 5.0 software update to be released. We learned about this was under development quickly after the latest Android platform was launched by Google last year. We were expecting a release last week and rollout to some units have already started. We also mentioned that more Xperia devices are receiving the Lollipop update. Unfortunately, we're not certain what will happen to non-Xperia Z phones as Sony already announced that they're not upgrading non-Xperia Z phones to Lollipop.

Sony Xperia T2 Ultra and C3 to get Lollipop update

The Android 5.0 Lollipop update has been official for some months now, but the roll-out to various devices has been going really slowly. In fact, Nexus devices, which understandably are way ahead of the pack, are already on the 5.1 update while a lot of other smartphones and tablets are still stuck with good ole KitKat. Sony just announced that its Xperia Z3 devices, namely the Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, will finally be receiving the update, specifically in markets other than the Baltics and the Nordics.
