Sony Xperia ZL Review

With the Sony Xperia ZL, the company decided to take a two-device approach to their flagship offering. We have the fully waterproof and impressive 5-inch 1080p powered Xperia Z. Then they dropped the slightly different, thicker, and not waterproof Xperia ZL in a shorter package. It's available unlocked for US carriers as we speak, but today we'll be giving it a closer look so read on after the break for our thoughts on this flagship top-tier Sony smartphone.

T-Mobile Xperia Z teased in underwater video

T-Mobile has recently posted a short video on YouTube. The video measures in at just 23 seconds in length and shows little more than someone diving into a pool and then swimming a short distance underwater. That may sound a little strange by itself, but then we look back to the earlier rumors which have been leading up to an announcement for the Sony Xperia Z -- which just so happens to be a waterproof handset.

Sony Xperia Z support pages turn up with T-Mobile

T-Mobile has yet to officially announce the Sony Xperia Z, however it looks like another piece of evidence has surfaced. Basically, it is looking like a release date is getting closer. This latest bit of evidence has arrived directly from the T-Mobile website, specifically on the support pages. The carrier has recently added quite a few how-to pages dealing with the Xperia Z.

Sony Xperia M launching with focus on connectivity

Sony has unveiled their latest Xperia branded smartphone. The new addition is the Xperia M, which will be available beginning in the third-quarter of the year and in a single-SIM and dual-SIM model. Aside from the addition of an extra SIM card slot in on of the two models -- the other specs remain the same across the board and Sony appears to be pushing a few items. Some of those features include NFC as well as the Battery Stamina Mode and easy connectivity with other Sony devices.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z shipping date slips

Sony offered some details on the global release of the Xperia Tablet Z a short while back. Basically, Sony had said the tablet would soon be coming available for purchase. Those in the US have had pre-orders available for a while now and it looked like things were going to remain the same in terms of a shipping date. As of today however, that shipping date has slipped a bit.

Sony has announced the global availability of the Xperia Tablet Z. Basically, that is to say those around the world will now be able to make the purchase. The tablet remains available as a pre-order for those in the US and at the present time, the estimated shipping date is showing as May 24, 2013.

Sony Xperia L arrives unlocked for the US market

Sony has officially launched another Xperia branded handset for those in the US market. This latest addition is the Sony Xperia L and similar to other recent releases, this one has arrived unlocked and is being sold on a no-contract basis. The Xperia L sports a 4.3-inch display with a screen resolution of 854 x 480 and is running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Sony Xperia S39h smartphone images leak

The device has leaked in a series of pictures, and the device is going by the name Xperia S39h and will most likely be headed to China. Sony and their latest Xperia Z and ZL devices have been quite popular, so we're interested in hearing more about a smaller 4.3-inch device like what we see below.

At the time they had said the handset would be available during the second quarter, however they didn't offer much in terms of where it would be available or how much it would be selling for.
