Sony Xperia Z support pages turn up with T-Mobile

T-Mobile has yet to officially announce the Sony Xperia Z, however it looks like another piece of evidence has surfaced. Basically, it is looking like a release date is getting closer. This latest bit of evidence has arrived directly from the T-Mobile website, specifically on the support pages. The carrier has recently added quite a few how-to pages dealing with the Xperia Z.

Sony Xperia Z headed to US carriers soon

Today during the D11 conference we learned some exciting news for all you Sony fans. The companies CEO Kaz Hirai took the stage and had a few things to say about their products, the Xperia Z, and even mentioned we'll be seeing it arrive on US carriers soon. Sony's been making some stellar smartphones, but sadly the US hasn't been able to enjoy them but that will soon be changing.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z shipping date slips

Sony offered some details on the global release of the Xperia Tablet Z a short while back. Basically, Sony had said the tablet would soon be coming available for purchase. Those in the US have had pre-orders available for a while now and it looked like things were going to remain the same in terms of a shipping date. As of today however, that shipping date has slipped a bit.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z added to Android Open Source Project

We have seen several Sony branded devices being supported under the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). The Xperia S was supported back in 2012 and a more recent addition was the Xperia Z smartphone. As of today, Sony has announced AOSP support for the Xperia Tablet Z. Similar to those other offerings from Sony, this latest basically means that the Xperia Tablet Z software will be open and available for developers.

Sony Xperia Z now selling unlocked in the US

Sony had previously begun selling the Xperia ZL for those in the US. The handset was selling unlocked and as such, it was priced a bit above $700. Well, it looks like the Sony Xperia ZL has recently been given a price cut. Additionally, Sony has also begun selling an unlocked version of the Xperia Z. The Xperia Z is HSPA+ compatible and is available at this moment.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z pre-orders open for US market

Sony has kicked off Xperia Tablet Z pre-orders for those in the US market. Sony has the tablet available in a 16GB and 32GB model and also an option to choose between black or white. There has yet to be a final shipping date revealed, however Sony has said these pre-orders are estimated to begin shipping on May 24, 2013. And coming as a bonus for those who order before that date, Sony will be including a freebie.

Sony launches Xperia Z Android Open Source Project

Sony has launched their latest Android Open Source Project. This one is for the Xperia Z, however a similar project was launched for the Xperia S back in August of 2012. In fact, the reason behind the Xperia Z AOSP project was due to what Sony is calling the "great interest" they saw for the Xperia S. Reasoning aside, this basically means the software from the Xperia Z will be open and available for developers to use.

Sony Xperia Z expected to arrive with T-Mobile

Some newly surfaced rumors are calling for T-Mobile to release a relatively new Sony smartphone. That handset is the Sony Xperia Z and according to the details that have been shared up until now, the handset is currently in a testing period with T-Mobile. The key here, the handset is being tested and that bit alone means it may never show up for sale.
