Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Running Gingerbread and maybe an Unlocked Bootloader [video]

For all you Sony Ericsson lovers out there it seems SE might be getting closer to an official release of 2.3.3 Gingerbread for the Xperia X10. The Xperia X10 was originally launched on Android 1.6 and the wait for a newer version of Android was a long road if you were waiting for an official release. It took until the end of May of this year for the X10 to get Android 2.1 and 2.3 has been around for a while, but we are now seeing what looks to be an official version running on the Xperia X10.

Desert Winds is coming to the Xperia Play soon and we have been told it is one of the most visually stunning games to come to mobile. It is based around the beautiful princess Amira that must fight for her peoples survival and freedom. This game has been developed closely with Qualcomm to deliver the best possible experience on their Snapdragon CPU and Adreno graphics and they promise a pretty stellar game. Age of Zombies for Android Review [Optimized for Xperia PLAY]

Woo! Kill em all! That's what you're going to NEED to be doing when you play this fabulous game called Age of Zombies. This game is new to Android, having come out first only on Xperia PLAY (which is what we're looking at in the review) and just TODAY coming out for the greater bulk of the Android family using on-screen controls instead of the Xperia PLAY's Playstation controllers. What you're doing here is surviving, but better than that, you're stopping a zombie invasion from taking over and eating the entirety of the Earth after they've found their way into a time portal. What in the world? Let's start em all on fire!

XPERIA Play and Arc Android/Facebook update out for Vodafone handsets

Sony Ericsson's Android 2.3.3 update for the XPERIA Play and XPERIA Arc has been released for Vodafone UK's versions of the two smartphones. The updates bring the two handsets up to speed with Google's latest version of the OS, as well as adding in Facebook Inside XPERIA integration as on the mini and mini pro. Rather than an OTA update, the new firmware is delivered using a USB connection to your computer and the Sony Ericsson Update Service app. Vodafone says it will also improve voice quality, device stability, email setup and Exchange account performance, and introduce various bugfixes and security enhancements. Xperia Play with HDMI out spotted in the Wild

When the Xperia Play launched one of the features everyone wished they had was HDMI out. To be able to enjoy those amazing games over HDMI would really make the Play a true gaming phone. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Play did not ship with HDMI out, although devices like the Arc did so there must have been a reason behind this. You can see our very own unboxing and hands-on, HDMI out is missing sadly.

Star Battalion for Xperia PLAY Review

This is a game that, if you're a fan of either of the following games or series, you're going to love the heck out of: StarFox 64 and Rogue Squadron for Gamecube. I know there's games very similar to those two, but those are massively iconic and without a doubt they flew through your humble narrator's mind the entire time he was playing the game we're talking about right here right now.
