CNET Asia had prepared a couple of days ago. We were so excited, in fact, that our initial browsing of said list yielded only one overwhelming notion: there aren't that many new things here. How heart-wrenching! Then we got wise. There are some gems in there, starting with the second in a series of Dungeon Defenders.
has confirmed that the Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play will be delayed, after having "found some bugs in the software that, if they’re not fixed, means customers won’t have a great experience." According to Stuart Hibberd, head of O2's testing team, by the time Sony Ericsson has tweaked the firmware, the gaming smartphone will have missed its previously announced April 1 launch date. What's unclear is whether the same bugs will impact other carriers offering the XPERIA Play. O2 doesn't specify what, exactly, the issues are, but it does claim they're general flaws in the XPERIA Play's firmware rather than something to do with a particular build for the O2 network. the importance of the Xperia PLAY, Sony Ericsson doesn't plan on stopping with that headliner, no way! Sony plans on taking out all oncomers in the coming year with not one flagship phone, but 9 utterly amazing Android phones (which we, of course, have no further info on.) This tidbit of information is built on a talk we had with a source quite familiar with the inner workings of Sony Ericsson, a source who indeed did confirm not only Sony's plan to release this barrage of Android phones throughout 2011, but more specifically the Xperia PLAY by the end of this quarter.
