Google+ sign-in was announced a short while back. You have likely seen a few examples of this on sites, however for those who may have missed it, Google+ sign-in is not all that different from what we have seen with Facebook and Twitter. That is to say, you can use Google+ to sign into an app or service. This generally makes the sign-up process easier as it takes details from your Google account.

Vine glosses over Android with new Embeds for web

Android users were given another reminder about an app that they cannot use. That app is Vine and the reminder came along with news of web embeds and an update to the iOS app. Vine originally launched back in January. That initial launch was clearly intended for iOS, however some hints of an Android app arrived about a month later by way of a Vine job posting.

Thread wants to be the ultimate caller ID application for Android users

If you're anything like me, it doesn't matter if you just met a person, it may be difficult for you to remember who they are only a few days after you first meet. I've always put the person's name in my phone contacts list along with a word or two to help me remember where I know them from and what they might be wanting when they call. That can be a bit tedious though and Android users can now get a new application called Thread that aims to be the ultimate caller ID.

Waze for Android has been updated to version 3.6. And while that may sound like just another version number, this update brings some interesting new features. Also, for those thinking you have your navigation needs taken care of with the default Google apps, Waze has some features that still may be of interest to you, one of which is new and has arrived with this latest update.

Netflix to add social sharing features in 2013

The folks from Netflix have announced they'll be offering multiple social features starting in 2013 for their movie and TV services. A bill was recently passed in the senate that removes restrictions on sharing movie and rental history in the US. Netflix has offered social features outside the US for some time, but this will be available stateside soon.

Flock photo sharing app now available for Android

Flock, the social photo sharing app has launched for Android. The app may sound familiar to some, however up until today it was available only for iOS users. In short, Flock will allow you to see pictures that others take at an event. Basically, if you and your friends are using Flock, you will likely end up seeing more pictures than if you weren't.
