Roamz real-time social discovery app comes to Android

A brand new application has just launched for Android today called Roamz. Why check into Foursquare and many other apps to find friends or things to do when Roamz can do it all for you. This is similar to other social discovery apps only it requires no check-in's and operates in real time. They are calling it "social goggles for the real world" that will make you feel like a local no matter where you go.

Facebook App overhaul brings faster performance, better UI, ICS support and more

Today Facebook will be pushing a much needed update for their Android application. It is currently not available yet but should hit the Android Market sometime today according to the official Facebook Blog. They are calling it a faster Facebook for Android and it has tons of new features, improvements to the UI, faster performance, and that all important support for ICS (since the menu button has been missing for Nexi users). Google+ adds Facebook-style Pages for brands and sites

Google+ is quickly maturing into a contender in the social network space, and as Google's social web of choice, it's becoming ever more important to Android users. Today the official Google blog announced the addition of Pages, bringing Google+ even more in line with Facebook by offering brands, sites and, well, anything a way to make a centralized landing zone for all Google+ interactions. The feature is live already, but not everyone can create new pages at the moment.

Games for Google+: Angry Birds and more coming soon

Whoa, out of no where today Google has just announced Games for Google+ and already the first to tip the chart is the all mighty Angry Birds. This is one of the next big steps for Google to integrate another level of socialization into Google+ to better compete with the likes of Facebook. From Angry Birds, Decks of Cards, Diamand Dash and more. These will all be available soon for Google+.

HTC ChaCha [Up Close and Personal]

Both the HTC ChaCha and HTC Salsa were announced today at the HTC event here at Mobile World Congress 2011. These devices were two of many devices announced at the event, but certainly they're about the be the most talked about. The one we've got here is the HTC ChaCha, with both its physical Facebook button and nicely spaced QWERTY keyboard it's sure to be a sweet contender in the upcoming 2011 higher-mid-tier smartphone wars of English speaking world.

AT&T Announces Social Gaming Network for Android

AT&T is working to network gamers on the Android platform.  Working with social gaming site "OpenFeint," the new network will not only link Android users, but allow gamers across multiple platforms to compete for high scores while chatting with multiple players.  OpenFeint is a leader in the social gaming with 65 million registered users playing over 4,500 games for both Android and iPhone devices.
