Powerful Nokia OMAP4 Android Device Possibly in the Works

Take a look, if you'd like, at the portal -lxr.free-electrons.com for a Linux file automatically generated from the OMAP hardware databases, one with some spicy previews for what's to come early this year. In the first few lines you'll notice some lovely bits that could add up to a spicy new device from two of the biggest names in tech: Texas Instruments and Nokia. A device with an OMAP4 processor - is this the same processor announced back in December 2010 by TI, one with dual-core, 1.5GHz, support for 1080p video playback and conferencing, gesture recognition, two 12 megapixel cameras, and more? I'd bank on yes.

These statistics take place during the months of June and November 2010 - and that's not all!

T-Mobile Garminfone Coming June 2nd?

The only thing left now is confirmation from T-Mobile but this phone is pretty much a lock for a June 2nd release. This screen not only outs the pricing for this handset but also the release date.

Andy Rubin Discusses Android

This was a short but very interesting interview with Andy Rubin, vice president for engineering at Google, shots was dished out and a few things were kind of confirmed. Android is a well known open mobile OS and the most versatile OS of any kind. This openness is the key to Androids success, many manufacturers have adopted the platform and it is really taking off.

Sprint HTC Evo 4G Price Leaks From Best Buy, $199?

For now this is just a rumor but it does kind of make sense. The HTC EVO 4G is rumored to be priced at $199 on contract from Sprint. This price puts the EVO on the same ground as the Incredible and other smart phones that has been recently released.

Verizon Announces Skype Deal

Verizon has long been a very closed and tight gripped company. When they announced that they were entering the Android game, we all thought they were going to lock down their devices which they did not do. Now they are going even further with being more open with their network with this announcement.
