Our friends over at SlashGear have recently received confirmation from Motorola that the Droid will be receiving the update to Android 2.2. Although, their reply doesn’t lead us to believe that it will hit the device anytime soon. It is good to hear that there will be other devices other than HTC’s 2010 lineup that will receive Android 2.2.
This is good news for all you X10 owners, Sony has just confirmed Android 2.1 for the X10 in Q4. Not only will it get Android 2.1 but it will also receive a few other enhancements. We told you it was coming, and sure enough, here it is. The guys over at SlashGear have been nice enough to videotape their first unboxing of the EVO 4G from Sprint, and they're even including their first impressions of the device. So far? It’s safe to say that we can file this under the totally cool category of robots. This little invention uses a Droid to solve a Rubik’s Cube. We’ve all tried to solve this thing and one point or another in our life and those of us that didn’t move the colored stickers around probably failed. This robot accomplishes the feat in a matter of seconds.
The Spring Design Alex looks to take on the big names in the eReader world with their latest Android powered eBook. The guys over at Slashgear put together a nice in-depth review of this device. The Alex can be yours for a price tag of $399. This is a nice device but I’m not sure if this is worth the aforementioned price even with its specs and their partnership with Borders.
