talk of US Cellular moving to shared data plans, and as of today those became official. The US Cellular take on shared data looks strikingly similar to what we have seen with other carriers. Basically, that is to say you start with unlimited minutes and messages and pick a data package that best fits your needs.
AT&T has announced some upcoming changes to the plans that will be offered to new customers. The carrier has said they are looking to do a bit of streamlining. Or in other words, they are going to begin pushing new customers towards a Mobile Share plan as opposed to a traditional voice plan. These shared plans were originally announced last year and are currently available in a wide range of data options.
US Cellular launching shared data plans. We have yet to hear anything direct from the carrier, however another leak has surfaced regarding those plans and this time around there are some pricing details included. That being said, while not yet confirmed, it does appear as if US Cellular will be launching these plans fairly soon. In the meantime, here are some of the plan highlights.
Verizon Wireless and AT&T both offer shared data plans and it looks like another US-based carrier will soon be following in their footsteps. This latest carrier is US Cellular and while they have yet to offer an official announcement, a leak is suggesting these new plans could arrive next month. The details are not yet complete, but what has been leaked has these plans looking rather similar to Verizon and AT&T.
AT&T has announced the upcoming availability of a pair of new Mobile Share plans. These plans include an option to get 300MB or 2GB of data per month. These plans will be available beginning on July 26th and will arrived priced at $20 for the 300MB plan and $50 for the 2GB plan.
AT&T seems to have stepped things up quite a bit in terms of data allotments for Mobile Share plans. With the previous plans offering data options from 1GB up to 20GB, AT&T has since announced plans that offer up to 50GB. More specifically, the carrier has added a 30GB, 40GB and 50GB option. The one catch -- they don't come cheap. These new higher data plans are going for $300, $400 and $500 per month.
