Samsung Gear Circle headphone heads to the US

There isn't a shortage of Bluetooth wireless communication devices on the market today that play music and handle phone calls. They have been around for years and most of them share a similar on-ear or in-ear design with earphones that dangle around your neck when not in use. Samsung has a device coming to the US called Gear Circle that will handle hands free communication, but has a different design.

More Samsung Project Zero details tipped, specs included

Samsung, intentionally or not (and some might say covertly), may have just piqued the mobile world's curiousity when word of its "Project Zero" next gen smartphone leaked out. While we're still waiting to hear details on how this would be a "start from scratch" for the manufacturer, SamMobile has been able to get hold of more details about the upcoming Galaxy S6 flagship. In truth, the hardware sounds more like just a step forward, which is, of course, not exactly a bad thing, since any new direction for Samsung still requires one foot solidly set on the past as well.

Samsung says Find My Mobile safe, despite NIST warning

The National Institute of Standards and Technology issued a warning last week that Samsung's Find My Mobile feature on some of its devices is very "hackable" due to numerous security vulnerabilities. But the OEM has now issued a statement saying that the issue mentioned has already been fixed early last month and assured users that no information has been compromised, while at the same time, issuing warnings on how attackers may be able to access your device remotely.

The United States consumer market is finally going to get a crack at that quirky, edgy (pun definitely intended) phablet device Samsung put out fairly recently – the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. The device is, for all intents and purposes, a Galaxy Note 4 – all the hardware and features match up. The one difference is that curved screen on the device's right side.

A month ago, the Korean gadget giant offered a preview on the alpha build of Android Lollipop for the Galaxy S5. Today, we will be seeing more of the progress Samsung is making into building TouchWiz for this new version of Android.

Samsung Gear S coming to American mobile carriers

We’ve covered the Samsung Gear S from the time it was leaked to its announcement at the IFA 2014 in Berlin – and this is one unique wearable that has its own SIM card and hence, its own data connection. It’s not overly reliant on an Android smartphone for usage, although you can use it with that as well. Good news from Samsung is, starting early November, the Samsung Gear S will be available with major US mobile carriers.

Metal unibody phones Samsung Galaxy A3, A5 get official announcements

We’ve covered Samsung’s “A Series” pretty extensively before in terms of leaks and what to expect. We know that somehow – starting with the Samsung Galaxy Alpha – the South Korean gadget giant was out to prove naysayers wrong, that it can’t build a metal phone of note. Well, this is what we get for provoking Samsung – a whole new line of metallic phones, with the Samsung Galaxy A3 and A5 both slim enough to turn your heads.

Latest Q3 2014 IDC figures show Xiaomi now 3rd in smartphones shipped

While some brands and markets may have already plateaued when it comes to smartphone consumption, there are still those in the emerging market that have just found their stride, as more options become available to the consumers. Samsung and Apple may still be top in terms of quantities shipped, but other brands, particularly the curious case case of Xiaomi, are playing catch-up to the big boys, indicating the shift in terms of which regions or countries OEMs should focus on.
