Samsung Vibrant Gets Froyo Tomorrow – January 21

All you lovers of the Vibrant that's about to get replaced by its big brother Vibrant 4G, you're in luck. Right here on the same day the Vibrant 4G is basically thrown in everyone's faces, chief marketing Cole Brodman (of T-Mobile) speaks with PCMag, telling them that the updates should start rolling out tomorrow and will be out to everyone within weeks.

Samsung Vibrant 4G Passing Through FCC

It's getting closer! Take a peek at this FCC application that's just passed, it's got all the markings of a possible next wave version of the original, and not much to hold us back from such a conclusion. The original T-Mobile Vibrant had the model number SGH-T959, this new one is dubbed SGH-T959V. It's a Samsung device, and it has support for AWS - just what a T-Mobile handset would need to access their 3G / 4G network.

Samsung Vibrant 4G Launching on Feb 23?

According to a screen grab seeming captured from... I dunno, out of thin air? T-Mobile News is showing the release date of the Samsung Vibrant 4G to be February 23, 2011. Furthermore it notes that a Samsung T259 "Sienna" will be released on February 9nd, and the Motorola Cliq 2 will be released tomorrow. Who's excited?! People are getting so excited about the Vibrant 4G that they're making up faked photographs of it just for fun.

Samsung Responds to Vibrant Android 2.2 Froyo Hold

If you've been keeping up with this epic debacle with T-Mobile and Samsung regarding the Samsung Vibrant, you know that Samsung AND T-Mobile have been accused of holding back a Froyo update from the Vibrant so that they might have better sales of the Vibrant 4G+. These accusations were made by a source inside either Samsung or T-Mobile. Samsung Holds Up 2.2 From Vibrant to Increase 4G Plus Sales?

This news tip comes from a tipster speaking with Android Spin. That's a tongue twister. They say this person is a reliable source inside Samsung and/or T-Mobile who says that some silly things are solidifying inside and behind closed curtains. He says that not only does Samsung have a fully functional OTA for Android 2.2 ready, but they're not allowed to push it out to the public because it could hurt sales of the Vibrant 4G (aka Samsung Vibrant Plus). Additionally, he notes, the original Vibrant is currently already able to utilize 4G connectedness FULLY. Really? "Yes FULLY."

Samsung Vibrant 4G to Come Boxed with Inception Movie

In a strange move to promote their brand new (so new it's not even technically supposed to be announced yet) 4G phone the Samsung Vibrant Plus, T-Mobile will be shipping the phones with the movie "Inception" loaded on them for viewing right out of the box. This is obviously meant to seem like it's to show the power and capabilities of the 4″ Super AMOLED Touch Screen with 480×800 pixel resolution and Mobile HD TV powered by T-Mobile TV, but is it a ploy to blow the phones off the rack? Judging by the numbers and stats they've given on sales of the original Vibrant, we've gotta lean more toward the former.

Samsung Vibrant 4G Leaked Via T-Mobile Spec Sheet

Check it out, TmoNews has a sheet clicked showing the Samsung Vibrant 4G [aka Vibrant Plus]- and it appears to be T-Mobile's first 4G phone that'll give 21+ Mbps speeds! Not only that, it'll be exclusive to T-Mobile, had a front facing camera for video chat via Qik, and it'll be running on - drumroll please... Android 2.2 Froyo! That's a Galaxy S feat and a half! It's got a 4" Super AMOLED Touch Screen, 1GHz processor, 16 GB memory expandable to 32 GB, and a 5 Megapixel camera on the back capable of 720p HD video capture.
