Samsung rebrands app store to Samsung Galaxy Apps

Don’t start panicking if you don’t see the Samsung Apps icon anymore on your device starting July 1. Samsung has decided to rebrand and rename its app store into Samsung Galaxy Apps. This is a move that seems to be establishing the app store as specific for the Galaxy line of the Korean-based tech company.

Samsung has confirmed the US rollout of Kit Kat will begin today. Naturally, that does come with a bit of fine print. Details coming from Samsung bring mention of how the updates will begin today, but also how the "availability varies by carrier and product." Furthermore, while the rollout is beginning today, the updates will be continuing "throughout the coming months."

Samsung “Just for You” teaser tips upcoming Galaxy J release in Taiwan

Samsung recently dropped the "Just for You" teaser video on YouTube and it measures in at 22 seconds in length and appears to be offering a look at the Galaxy J. This isn't the only time we have seen talk of the Galaxy J recently, however this one is from Samsung as opposed to a leak. One key with the video though, this is from Samsung Taiwan, which suggests where the handset is heading.

Samsung Galaxy S5 unveil tipped for January

Chatter coming out of South Korea suggests we may see Samsung unveil the Galaxy S 5 a bit ahead of when it was originally expected. Samsung has kept to a fairly regular announcement pattern for their Galaxy S series, with announcements having come in April, May and June. The talk has Samsung unveiling the Galaxy S 5 in early next year, possibly as soon as January.
