Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 kernel source released ahead of device

This seems a bit odd. It appears that Samsung has now released the kernel source code for their highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 with the first Super AMOLED Plus HD display. First announced and debuted back at IFA in September we haven't seen or heard anything about this impressive slate from Samsung since, especially in the US. Does this mean we could be seeing it launched and officially announced at CES 2012 next week?

If those new DROID XYTBOARD tablets aren't what you were hoping to buy this holiday season it looks like the sneaky Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE will be headed to Verizon shortly. After hearing nothing since it was announced at IFA, lately we've seen a little stir at the FCC and now it appears to be ready to hit Verizon with 4G LTE on board.

We saw the awesome Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 back at IFA and it was first unveiled in September. Details on this pretty tablet being the first of its kind to rock a Super AMOLED HD panel from Samsung have been a bit thin since it was first announced. The device in all its glory can now be seen in full at the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 product page.

Samsung Galaxy Note comes to the FCC with AT&T bands… again

Samsung has been heavily promoting the 5.3-inch Galaxy Note over in the UK, but Americans haven't heard a peep about a possible release since the phone went through the FCC back in September. A second, slightly altered version of the phone has passed through the FCC yet again, this time as the "GT-N7000B" instead of the "GT-I9220". The bands for AT&T HSPA+ are the same.

Who remembers the awesome looking Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7? The first tablet to feature Samsung's Super AMOLED HD display technology that was first spotted at IFA but quickly went missing. For a quick refresh you can start by looking over our Tab 7.7 hands-on because it's one impressive tablet. Apparently the Tab 7.7 should be launching soon and is up for pre-order unlocked with 3G and ready to go.

To start off September, we have a massive amount of tech news to present in this issue of Android Community Weekly! Sunday, the Samsung Galaxy S II LTE and Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE were officially announced. Later on, we ran across a recently initiated build of CyanogenMod 7 for none other than the HP TouchPad. Which build will have full functionality first? CM7 or the Android 3.2 (Honeycomb) port that’s also in the works?
