Ice Cream Sandwich. They've released one at about every size you can think of, some more than once, and the latest Galaxy Tab 2 already has ICS out of the box. It's only fair they get these updated and we are now hearing they'll be doing exactly that starting next month.

Galaxy Tab 2 has been getting some attention from developers the past couple of weeks. Over the weekend it received root access and now Clockworkmod recovery is also available. Hopefully next on the list is CyanogenMod 9, then we'll be set. Details and links are available after the break.
Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 at Mobile World Congress, it was met with a resounding yawn. Aside from Ice Cream Sandwich, a MicroSD card slot and a slightly redesigned exterior, it was basically identical to the previous generation. But according to German site NetbookNews, the tablet has been delayed in order to get a more substantial upgrade: a quad-core Exynos processor. That would be a major win for anyone wanting some substantial performance gains over last year's Galaxy Tab 10.1, and may be enough to warrant a second look from those dazzled by the Tegra and Snapdragon processors on other tablets.

Galaxy Tab 2, both the 7-inch and 10-inch models from Samsung had been delayed until late April. While things still seem to be on track for a late April release we now have a leaked price too. The folks from Engadget spotted the 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab 2 at Office Depot of all places, showing a price tag of only $399 for the Ice Cream Sandwich tablet.

Well, if you've just been dying to get your hands on some warmed-over hardware, you'll have to wait a little longer: Samsung said that the international release of both tablets has been delayed slightly. They'll now appear at the end of this month, though specific dates and markets weren't given. Try to contain your disappointment, Android fans.
