Samsung planning three new colors for Galaxy S III Mini, Note II

Samsung loves its variants, as evidenced by the fact that it has a total of six different colors available for the Galaxy S III. The Galaxy S III isn't the only phone getting love though, as it appears that Samsung is gearing up to launch new colors for the Note II and the Galaxy S III Mini. Spotted by SamMobile, both phones should be getting three new colors soon, with Samsung set to show them all off at MWC 2013.

T-Mobile Galaxy S III getting Jelly Bean update OTA and through Kies

Galaxy S III owners on T-Mobile are finally getting the coveted Jelly Bean update. Android 4.1.1 is coming to device owners OTA and through Samsung Kies desktop software. Hopefully, this is just the beginning of the upcoming Jelly Bean updates as AT&T, Sprint, Verizon and US Cellular have to yet to issue updates to device owners.

Samsung Galaxy S III is the world most popular smartphone in Q3

The Samsung Galaxy S III has passed the iPhone 4S in Q3 as the worlds best selling smartphone. The reason for this surge in popularity is vast distribution and hefty operator subsidies. 18m Galaxy S IIIs were shipped during the July-September period, compared to 16.2m iPhone 4S devices. This data comes from research firm Strategy Analytics.

UK carrier Clove has just announced that it is taking pre-orders for a 64GB version of the Samsung Galaxy S III. Clove first revealed that the device would be available in this size back in August, and now they are finally ready to start letting people put down their hard-earned cash for a device, sort of. They are selling the 64GB version for £500 (£600 including VAT).

It looks like Samsung's extremely popular and powerful Galaxy S III smartphone could actually start seeing the update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean starting tomorrow. While this is doubtful, a few leaks from the Now Network have reportedly confirmed the rollout.

UK carriers have been gradually rolling out Jelly Bean updates to devices, but until this morning, unlocked phones remained out in the cold. Thankfully, the wait for unlocked phones is over, and you should have already received an OTA update. If not, you should see the update any minute.
