Samsung Jelly Bean update plans for Galaxy line leaked

With Android 4.1 Jelly Bean now officially on the scene, many smartphone owners are wondering when (or if) they'll be getting an update. We may have a better idea of when Samsung is planning to update some of its Galaxy-branded smartphones to Jelly Bean thanks to an apparent leak from SamMobile. The good news is that if this is all true, some Samsung owners won't have much longer to wait before Jelly Bean arrives on their device. The bad news is that we don't know if this true, so all of this seemingly juicy info could just end in heartbreak. In other words, take this information as truth at your own risk.

AT&T Garnet Red Samsung Galaxy S III hands-on

Today we have a special treat to share with everyone, and that is the rare Garnet Red Samsung Galaxy S III being offered over on AT&T. You'd think this color would arrive for Verizon, but AT&T stole the exclusivity and it has been up for pre-order all month. Available come Sunday for the lucky few, but we have it now for you to take a quick look. The color is the only difference, but so far I'm really liking it.

Samsung Galaxy S III Local Search fix offered by XDA Developers

Local Search, as many of you may have already discovered, has come up missing from Galaxy S III devices. It isn't hard to imagine why, considering that many draw comparisons between Local Search and Siri and Samsung has already been through enough legal tussles with Apple to last a lifetime. Sadly, it seems like Local Search isn't coming back anytime soon, but there is a way to fix it, provided you aren't against rooting your S III and doing a little work under the hood.

Samsung Galaxy S III sales hit 10 million

Samsung's latest in the Galaxy S line has unsurprisingly proven to be quite popular with smartphone owners out there, with the company claiming that total sales of the Galaxy S III to date have climbed past 10 million. The phone is hitting that sales milestone ahead of expectations, thanks in no small part the massive marketing campaign Samsung has rolled out to hype the new handset. What makes this even more impressive is that the Galaxy S III has only been available in Europe and Asia since the end of May, with North American carriers first getting the phone only last month.
