Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini rumored for May release
It appears that this year Samsung is looking to offer both their flagship Galaxy S IV smartphone, as well as a smaller 4-inch Galaxy S IV Mini around the same time frame. Last years Galaxy S III received its own mini variant - which wasn't all that great - but this time around we're hearing rumors of a better mini, and it could even be released in May.

Samsung Galaxy S III Mini variant to arrive with T-Mobile as the Galaxy Exhibit
We have previously seen Samsung announce the Galaxy S III Mini, which came back in October of 2012. We also later learned that Apple was dropping that particular handset from the lawsuit with Samsung provided they did not offer it for sale in the US market. Of course, that does not necessarily mean that Samsung cannot offer a variant of that handset with another name.

Apple agrees to drop the Galaxy S III Mini patent claim
Apple has recently agreed to drop the Galaxy S III Mini from its patent case with Samsung. If you remember back, Apple had asked the courts to include the handset (along with a few tablets) to the patent case back in November. That however has changed since Samsung has never released the Galaxy S III Mini for sale in the US market.

Samsung planning three new colors for Galaxy S III Mini, Note II
Samsung loves its variants, as evidenced by the fact that it has a total of six different colors available for the Galaxy S III. The Galaxy S III isn't the only phone getting love though, as it appears that Samsung is gearing up to launch new colors for the Note II and the Galaxy S III Mini. Spotted by SamMobile, both phones should be getting three new colors soon, with Samsung set to show them all off at MWC 2013.

ST-Ericsson confirmes NovaThor ModAp platform is in Galaxy S III Mini

ST-Ericsson confirmes NovaThor ModAp platform is in Galaxy S III Mini
ST-Ericsson, which is a company responsible for developing wireless platforms and semiconductors, announced that its NovaThor ModAp platform is used to power the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini. The Mini is a smaller, more affordable version of Samsung's flagship Galaxy S III. The NovaThor ModAp platform is designed for compact devices, which seems quite suitable for the smaller version of the S III. The reason the NovaThor ModAp platform functions well on smaller devices is that it implements modem and application processor on a single die. This allows the device to create power with solid efficiency without taking up extra space. ST-Ericsson has had its processors featured in a few other devices, but they have not received nearly the attention of companies like Qualcomm, who is are known for making the ultra high-end processors. For whatever reason Samsung choose not to announce the processor creator when they announced the other specs of the device. They were quick to announce that it had a 1.0 GHz dual-core STE U8420 processor, but they did not credit ST-Ericsson. They also announced that the phone has 1GB of RAM, 8 and 16GB storage options, and a 1,500 mAh battery. Final pricing and release information on the Galaxy S III Mini is still spotty. UK retailers have posted various prices, but nothing official has come out yet. Prices for other regions and release dates have not been announced of late, but at least we are learning a little more about the device. As always, we will keep you posted with latest on the Galaxy S III Mini as it happens. [timeline]

Samsung Galaxy S III Mini UK pricing confirmed
We've only officially known about the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini for a few hours now, but instead of having to wait weeks for pricing information, we're getting some details on the UK price courtesy of retailer Clove. The Galaxy S III Mini will cost £249 if you're buying from Clove, but after VAT, that price is bumped up to £298.80. That's pricing for a SIM-free version too, which isn't all that bad.

Samsung Galaxy S III Mini gets official
The folks from Samsung have officially revealed their new Galaxy S III Mini as well as all those specs that were leaked earlier this week. Sadly, they were accurate. For those hoping for an impressive Galaxy S III Mini with similar specs in a smaller chassis -- you'll be disappointed. Samsung's still put together a great little phone, it just isn't quite what we were expecting or hoping for.

Details emerge on Samsung Galaxy S III Mini
New details have emerged on the Samsung Galaxy S III mini, and while it is not quite as powerful as we hoped, it still packs a pretty serious punch. The phone comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean installed, and according to MobileGeeks, the 4-inch device will feature a WVGA 800 x 480 Super AMOLED display and a 1.0GHz dualcore STE U8420 processor.

Samsung Galaxy S III Mini rumors “accurate” according to some Android devs
If you've been keeping up with the latest rumors, you'll know that Samsung may be plotting to reveal the Galaxy S III Mini at an event in Germany next week. It wouldn't surprise us in the least to learn that Samsung has a miniaturized version of the Galaxy S III up its sleeve, but aside from that German event invitation that surfaced a couple days back, there hasn't been much in the way of actual evidence to go on. Today, however, a handful of unnamed Android developers are adding fuel to the fire by claiming that the Galaxy S III Mini rumors are "accurate."
