It's been great here in the tech world this past week, with Google Music now open to the public, some amazing Black Friday sales starting to emerge, and finally some more Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) in our lives. Monday, Notion Ink hinted that on November 17, Android 4.0 source code would likely hit the net. Fortunately, they were wrong again - as Google leaked it to the public later that same day!

ICS ROMs start appearing, Galaxy S II and Optimus 3D get it first

We told you that it would only be a few days after the source code dropped that Ice Cream Sandwich ROMs would begin to come out. Lo and behold, some extremely sleepy custom ROM builders have already got Android 4.0 running on retail hardware. The first two devices to see early ports are the Samsung Galaxy S II and the LG Optimus 3D.

WOW is all I have to say. We see benchmarks almost daily between custom ROM's, new versions of Android, and devices that have beefed up or new dual-core processors. What we have today is the popular and widely known standard Bell Galaxy S II that has been tweaked, hacked, and manhandled to achieve one of the highest Quadrant benchmark tests we've ever seen. Today one of our favorite Android phone manufacturers unveiled another awesome color for their top of the line smartphone. Why yes we are talking about Samsung and the highly popular Galaxy S II. Today in South Korea Samsung has unveiled the "pretty" or "cute" Galaxy S II rocking everyone's favorite color -- hot pink! I know you guys are all excited right about now so check out the photos we have below.

We've had a great week of tech reviews, hands-on/unboxings, and development for this first week of November! First, we started off our work week with an excellent review of the Motorola ATRIX 2 by Michael Crider. An unboxing of the HTC Rezound was then performed by Cory Gunther soon after. After seeing ads of the HTC Rezound show up in Verizon Wireless stores, you can be sure to see this device soon. It was officially announced to the public Thursday, and around the same time we released our own hands-on round-up.

Today on the chopping block we have the brand new Samsung Galaxy S II headed to T-Mobile. Just like its twin brothers it has an amazing design that is thin and lightweight, but we also have a different, faster 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and a huge 4.52" Super AMOLED display here. We all know plenty about the amazing Galaxy S II superphone already but I'll be comparing it to the new Amaze 4G also on T-Mobile and running a few benchmarks, for now I'll just jump right into the pictures and video for everyone to enjoy.
