Pelican launches two new cases for Samsung Galaxy S III [Hands-on]

The heavy duty case company Pelican who is known for their hard, durable, and waterproof cases for everything from cameras to rifles is entering the smartphone business. Pelican has actually offered a few waterproof "cases" in the past, but they were more of a bag or box completely protecting the device. At CES we learned they'll be offering actual every day cases soon, so here's a few hands-on pictures.

T-Mobile launches the Titanium Gray Samsung Galaxy S III

We had seen rumors back in late-December, and well, it looks like they have since been confirmed by the carrier. In short, T-Mobile has officially launched the Samsung Galaxy S III in another color. And without any further adieu, that new color is Titanium Gray.

Samsung Galaxy S III sudden death syndrome to be fixed with a firmware update

Earlier in the month we mentioned how some Galaxy S III users were reporting a sudden death syndrome. At that time the reports suggested that Samsung was taking good care of those who were having the issue. But moving back to the present day and it looks like a firmware update may be in the works, though, we have yet to see any sort of timeline for a roll-out.

US Cellular Galaxy S III Jelly Bean update arriving today

Last week the folks from US Cellular officially announced the update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean would be arriving for their device soon. Now that Verizon was the last of the big 4 to receive the update, now it's regional carrier US Cellular's turn. The update is rolling out today, December 21st, just in time for the world to end.

While speaker docking stations are nothing new, it looks like the folks from Samsung are preparing to release a few dual-speaker docking stations to accompany their popular Galaxy smartphones. Some new photos have leaked out, while a bit fuzzy, showing a Samsung branded speaker dock for their mobile devices that we could be seeing next month at CES.

Jelly Bean coming to the US Cellular Galaxy S3 on December 21

Jelly Bean arrived for Galaxy S3 users with Verizon Wireless on last Friday and it looks like US Cellular users will get the same update this Friday. And for those without a calendar handy, that is Friday, December 21. US Cellular has yet to offer all the specifics, however we do know there will be a few options to consider.

It looks like many Android users are getting a tasty treat this afternoon. Earlier we reported the AT&T Motorola Atrix HD was getting updated to Jelly Bean, and now as expected the Verizon Galaxy S III is getting the same. We've been reported on this all week, so should be nothing new, but we can now confirm Verizon is pushing this out to all users as we speak.

It looks like the wait was shorter than expected because Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and all it's goodness is coming to your device. Verizon has just confirmed the OTA update to 4.1 Jelly Bean, and it'll likely start soon.

Santa gets in touch with naughty side using S Beam in latest Galaxy S III ad

We're no strangers to risqué Galaxy S III commercials, but this time Samsung has taken things a step further by tossing Santa and Mrs. Claus into the mix. The latest Galaxy S III ad features ol' St. Nick as he prepares to leave the North Pole to deliver presents to the children of the world. We imagine that can get quite boring at times, but luckily a couple of Santa's elves have made a video for him to watch on the trip around the world. Mrs. Claus has made a video for him too, and we think we'll just let you fill in the blanks from here on out.

Motorola attacks Samsung putting the Droid RAZR HD against the Galaxy S3

Motorola has recently posted a new image over on Facebook. You can see that image here in the post, but the long and short -- they appear to have put the Droid RAZR HD up against the Galaxy S3. Of course, having seen previous sales reports for the Galaxy S3, it becomes a bit easier to understand why Motorola choose this particular handset.
