They have grouped the results of their data analysis into two broad categories: hardware performance of smartphones on a global scale and popularity in select Asian markets.

Verizon Galaxy S4 latest OTA update gets rooted, again

Verizon recently rolled out a software update to Samsung's flagship Galaxy S4 smartphone that brought in new features as well as security fixes. However, the update also included patches to security exploits that previously allowed the phone to be rooted. Owners intent on rooting their devices can breathe a bit easier now that a new rooting method has been developed over at XDA.

Samsung Galaxy S 4 turns up in brown, blue and purple

We knew Samsung had plans to release the Galaxy S 4 in several additional colors and it looks like a few have recently arrived. Verizon has recently launched the Galaxy S 4 in brown and a blue version has appeared in the UK. There has also been a recently leaked image showing the handset in purple. The purple handset is still a bit of a mystery at the moment, however we do have some details on the brown and blue.

Android 4.3 build JWR66V leaks for the Galaxy S 4 Google Play edition

The Galaxy S 4 Google Play edition smartphone ships with Android 4.2, however it looks like the release of Android 4.3 is just around the corner. Of course, we are expecting Google to make the official announcement next week.
