Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat update beginning in Europe

It appears as if Samsung has begun rolling the Android 4.4.2 update to Galaxy Note 3 users a bit ahead of schedule. Of course, that doesn't mean every Galaxy Note 3 user will be seeing the update notification just yet. To that point, the update has began in Europe, specifically in Poland. And to further detail the availability, for now it seems the update is only available using Kies and for the quad-core Snapdragon variant.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Lite screen resolution might disappoint

Samsung is expected to release a Galaxy Note 3 Lite soon, with many pundits hoping for a Q1 2014 release. CyanogenMod 11 arriving unofficially for the Galaxy Note 3

The folks at Cyanogen recently released the source code for the Galaxy Note 3 and while that doesn't amount to an installable ROM, it did allow those with a bit of knowledge to get started. The Galaxy Note 3 source files were originally posted last week and despite not yet having an official nightly release, it looks like some progress has been made. A thread has popped up on the xda-developers forums and the first unofficial CM11 rom has dropped.

CyanogenMod source posted for the Samsung Galaxy Note III

CyanogenMod already offers support for a wide variety of handsets. And while we aren't sure anyone could expect to see support for each and every Android device -- there are some that we would expect to be on the list. Anyway, one of those still missing is the Galaxy Note III, but that may soon be changing. To that point, the folks at CyanogenMod have recently offered a status update in terms of support for the Note III.
