Samsung Galaxy Note II tops iPhone 5 in US smartphone survey

Coming by way of a recent OnDevice Research survey, it looks like the Galaxy Note II has bested the iPhone 5 in terms of user satisfaction. And while it is interesting to see the phone that may complain about being big and clunky top the iPhone, we should point out that the fact that it was a close victory. If that wasn't enough for Android fans though, the Galaxy Note II was in fourth with the iPhone 5 in fifth, which really just goes to show that there are still three other devices to discuss.

Verizon Galaxy Note II Exynos flaw fixed with latest update

It would appear that worries about the recently-discovered Exynos security hole are over for Verizon Galaxy Note II owners. An update is being sent out today that supposedly fixes the security flaw that had so many Samsung owners on edge, so Verizon Galaxy Note II owners can rest easy. Be sure to check your notification panel to see if there's an update waiting for you, and if there is, install that bad boy to bolster your phone's defenses against malware.

T-Mobile 4G LTE launching in Las Vegas next week with Galaxy S III support

We have some potentially great news for all you T-Mobile fans. They have huge plans for a 4G LTE network to take on Verizon and AT&T, but new reports are stating their 4G LTE could finally kick off next week. Details have confirmed that T-Mobile could enable their 4G LTE market in Las Vegas as early as next week followed by Kansas City and others in February. Even bigger news is the Samsung Galaxy S III and Note II will be the first devices with 4G LTE support.
