Kogeto iCONIC 360-degree panoramic lens announced for the Galaxy Nexus

You know those little plastic lenses all your iPhone-slinging friends associates are using? Prepare for a few similar options on the android side of life. Kogeto, maker of the Kickstarter-turned-product line Dot lens, is expanding its entrepreneurial efforts to the Galaxy Nexus with a panoramic lens titled iCONIC. Like its current Dot for the iphon,e the iCONIC will capture 360 degrees if video, then stitch it back together with a custom app. The attachment will be available sometime in the first half of the year, with an MSRP of $79.

White Galaxy Nexus press photos appear

Just in time to make your holidays... no, wait, that doesn't work any more. In any case, the white version of Samsung's Galaxy Nexus that ws announced at UK retailers yesterday now has some pretty pictures to go with it. The new hue will be available for sale in early February at Clove and other phone sellers in its standard unlocked configuration, at the same ~499 GBP total price that the original is currently sold at. There are no current plans for carrier-subsidized versions, though that's certainly possible in the future.

White Galaxy Nexus and 32GB model coming to the UK soon

Brits got the first crack at the Samsung Galaxy Nexus almost a month before Google's home territory, but they've been lacking a couple of options thus far. Samsung's trend of releasing staggered white versions of its major phones will continue with the Galaxy Nexus, according to listings at Expansys and Handtec. The frost white model should become available "in the next two weeks" according to the former, and on February 6th for the latter. In addition, both are taking pre-orders for a 32GB version of the grey model, due sometime in the next month.

2-click Windows root and unlock method developed for the Galaxy Nexus

As far as we're concerned, if you went out and bought a Samsung Galaxy Nexus on launch day, you have a responsibility to unlock that bootloader, root Android and get cracking with some custom mods and ROMs. Even though the process isn't terribly difficult, there are a good number of steps and checks, and not everyone is up for the challenge. Those of you who have been holding off for an easier method can thank "WugFresh" at GalaxyNexusForum.com, who's developed an easy Windows application that automates every step of the unlock process on Windows.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus $559.99 unsubsidized on Daily Steals

For a limited time, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus is available over at Daily Steals for only $559.99 + $4.99 shipping. Considering it retails for about $190 more, this is a good 25% off. If you've never ventured over to Daily Steals before, they are a "one sale a day" website - so at max you'll have 24Hrs to order. The Nexus just went on sale, so you still have time to decide whether or not you're up for dropping that much cash. It's definitely a tough decision with the Galaxy S III right around the corner.

Canadian carrier Fido may get Galaxy Nexus and Moto RAZR on Jan. 10

Canucks already have a few options when it comes to both the Motorola RAZR (the international name for Verizon's DROID RAZR) and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. In a few days, they'll have at least one more. MobileSyrup reports that both phones will be hitting regional carrier Fido next Tuesday. Rogers will also be getting the Galaxy Nexus on the same day, though they've been promoting it for some time. Just one week until either RAZR-thin phones or Ice Cream sandwich comes to Fido's customers - what a decision.

CyanogenMod 9 for the Galaxy Nexus may get an LTE toggle

One of my favorite features of later versions of CyanogenMod is the series of included and customizable toggles built right into the notification drawer. Not only is it convenient as all get out, it saves valuable space on your home screen usually occupied by the default power widget. When the Galaxy Nexus was released for Verizon, more than a few users were disappointed that Ice Cream Sandwich's implementation of 4G LTE blocked previous quick 4G toggles available in the Android Market. At least one developer seems to have found a work-around, and his implementation is currently be considered for inclusion in CyangoenMod 9.

Verizon Galaxy Nexus is only $229 from Wirefly

We waited and waited for what seemed like forever for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus to hit the shelves with big red's 4G LTE speeds and since then I haven't heard much. I know almost everyone here ran out and picked one up, or hit Costco for their small savings. Wirefly has the Verizon Galaxy Nexus for just $229 -- a cool $70 cheaper than Verizon.

Android Open Kang Project hits Milestone 1 for Verizon’s Galaxy Nexus

There are a few ROMs and kernels out there for Verizon's Galaxy Nexus already, but the one that clearly stood apart from the rest was AOKP by Roman of RootzWiki. Thus far, his build has been the most stable and speedy while still having all the bells and whistles. Through a ROM Control quicklink within the settings, rooted users can customize their phone with ease and reliability; no need to boot into recovery. And most importantly, this ROM has just reached its first "Milestone". A milestone release aims at fixing all the current bugs, and offers an option for users that don't feel like flashing another .ZIP through ClockworkMod every other day.

MIUI custom ROM is ready for the Galaxy Nexus

New Galaxy Nexus owners: this is what you waited for. As developer devices, the Nexus phones get pretty much all the desirable custom ROMs out there, and now you can download the popular MIUI ROM for Google's favorite son. Different builds for the GSM and CDMA Galaxy Nexus are available over at XDA, both compiled from the official MIUI source code from popular ROM developer DroidVicious.
