AOKP ICS Build 30 ready to download now [UPDATE: Build 31 already!]
As previously noted, we're big fans of the Android Open Kang Project, more colloquially known as AOKP. The much-anticipated Build 30 of the custom Ice Cream Sandwich ROM is available for download now, complete with custom app shortcuts in the navigation bar for Galaxy Nexus users. There are also stable builds for the Samsung Nexus S, Nexus S 4G, Galaxy S, Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 8.9, the HTC Sensation, EVO 4G,  Incredible and Incredible 2, the Motorola XOOM, the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer TF101, the Acer IConia Tab A500, and the HP TouchPad. AOKP is also, without a doubt, the best pink unicorn-themed ROM available.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus LTE headed to AT&T claims rumors
The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is Google's current flagship device, not because of the hardware but because of the software. Being the first to run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich has made it incredibly popular. While many are using it on AT&T, T-Mobile and others unofficially with the unlocked version, new reports are claiming AT&T is in the final stages of releasing an LTE edition themselves.

Custom Ice Cream Sandwich navigation buttons coming in AOKP
We've made no secret of our love for the Android Open Kang Project, known more informally as AOKP. Team Kang's custom builds of open source Android 4.0 have become some of the most popular on the Galaxy Nexus and a growing number of other devices. Team member Zaphod Beeblebrox (a hoopy frood who really knows where his towel is) posted a preview of the upcoming Build 30, which has an interesting surprise in store: customizable shortcuts on the Galaxy Nexus navigation bar.

Buy a Verizon Galaxy Nexus from Samsung, get a free extended battery

Buy a Verizon Galaxy Nexus from Samsung, get a free extended battery
The Galaxy Nexus CDMA/LTE version sucks battery juice like a ten-year-old trying to get to the sugary bottom of a Slurpy. It was one of our major complaints in the review, though it's happily tempered with a first-party extended battery from Samsung, bumping up the 1850mAh pack on the stock CDMA phone to a more roomy 2100mAh (about a 15% improvement) with only a slightly larger bulge. The battery has a list price of $50, but if you buy the phone directly from Samsung, you'll get the battery and the replacement cover for free.

Are you a GSM Galaxy Nexus owner, but for whatever reason you can't pull down the much-anticipated 4.0.4 update? Maybe you're stuck in a low coverage area or you just don't want to spend the data before (or after) you reach your cap. For whatever reason, you no longer need to wait: Google has posted the full ZIP update for earlier versions. Installing is simple, even if you've never done this sort of thing before - but you will need the proper Android ADB tools and drivers installed on your computer. Before you begin, click here to download the English GSM Galaxy Nexus update file, or check this XDA thread for localized versions in other languages or older updates.

Galaxy Nexus owner wins Microsoft competition, gets stiffed for prize [UPDATE]
Alright Android nation, ready your torches and pitchforks. Santa Clara resident and Android enthusiast Sahas Katta mozied on down to the Microsoft Store to participate n the Windows Phone Challenge on Sunday. The challenge is simple: if you can perform a given task faster on a non-Windows smartphone (in this case Katta's stock Verizon Galaxy Nexus) you win a free $1000 special-edition laptop. Long story short: Katta performed the task faster, but Microsoft representatives refused to award him the prize. Their reasoning? "Just because."

Android 4.0.5 coming to Galaxy Nexus early next month
Let the crazy talk and restoring to stock Ice Cream Sandwich begin because we are now hearing Verizon is beta testing the next update for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Yes this is Android 4.0.5 according to @Black_man_X, a man that needs no introduction in the world of Android. We saw version 4.0.4 leak back in January but it never officially was released by Google or Verizon.

Galaxy Nexus gets modded tablet UI for custom ROMs
Say, this looks familiar. Just days after the Verizon Galaxy Nexus launched, Android Community tried an experiment to force it to go into Android 4.0's tablet interface. We were only partially successful (hey, we're bloggers, not developers) but it looks like someone has taken a similar idea all the way to its conclusion. A RootzWiki user named CurrentWeb has developed a ZIP package that makes your Samsung Galaxy Nexus use the full Ice Cream Sandwich tablet user interface, bottom action bar and all.

LEGO charging dock for Samsung Galaxy Nexus
Lets say you don't approve of the accessories out on store shelves for your device. What is one to do? Well, you could always design some out of LEGOs like XDA developer Tibow. He managed to create a rather nice looking LEGO dock that holds the Samsung Galaxy Nexus in a landscape orientation. The only thing missing when compared to other docks, is it doesn't initiate "dock mode" when plugged in.

Have you been holding off on a Galaxy Nexus purchase because you can't handle the responsibility of 32GB of storage? Reaching the end of your two-year contract on the original HTC DROID Incredible? Then we've got good news for you: according to leaked documents found by Droid-Life, a new version of the Incredible going by either the "Incredible 3", "Incredible 4G" or (sigh) "Incredible 3 4G" will be released on April 26th. A 16GB Samsung Galaxy Nexus  will be out on April the 5th.
