Samsung confirms 30 million Galaxy S III and 3m Note II sales

Samsung has been kind enough to always update the public with numbers showing the sheer amount of devices or smartphones they've sold. Today they have released some impressive numbers for their popular flagship Samsung Galaxy S III. We knew it would be a big hit, just like the Galaxy S II, but now they've announced 30 million strong in sales.

Turns out people like Samsung's plus-sized Galaxy Note II. In fact, looks like 3 million people love the phablet. That's a pretty impressive number, but it becomes even more impressive when you consider that the device has only been on the market for a little over a month. That's a lot of people running out to get their Note IIs in a rather short period of time.

LeBron James stars in new Galaxy Note II ad

Samsung frequently uses celebrities in its smartphone ads, and the company's latest one for the Galaxy Note II is no different. This time around, the ad features Miami Heat superstar LeBron James. The ad shows us a day in the life of the basketball player, as he uses the Galaxy Note II to exchange messages, take pictures, and send out videos of those tasty dunks.

New Samsung Galaxy Note II Smart Dock turns the device into a desktop

An awesome new accessory for the Samsung Galaxy Note II has surfaced, and it allows you to turn the device into a desktop. It has plenty of ports for connecting wired peripherals. It is currently listed in the US on Samsung's site and at UK retailer Clove. Samsung's website lists the dock for $99.99, and Clove says "pricing and availability to be confirmed."

LG Nexus 4, Samsung Galaxy Note II included in T-Mobile’s holiday line up

It was just a little while ago that Google finally announced the LG-made Nexus 4, and T-Mobile has wasted no time getting us a list of devices it will be offering this holiday season. The list features a number of different devices covering both Windows Phone 8 and Android, and as you may have already guessed, the Nexus 4 is one of the stars on the list. T-Mobile takes pride in pointing out that it's one of Google's "premier launch partners" for the Nexus 4, so if you're a T-Mobile customer, you can be one of the first to get your hands on the shiny new handset.

The Samsung Galaxy Note II is looking to be a popular smartphone this holiday season, but one of the biggest carriers in the states isn't being too open about when we can expect it to arrive. With T-Mobile's Note II already available now, we were hoping to know more about Verizon's plans by now. Yesterday they opened pre-orders for the phablet, but didn't give an official release date.

The popular Samsung Galaxy Note II is officially available here in the US from the folks at T-Mobile, with other carriers coming soon. We've already been enjoying their new "faux 4G" HSPA+ capable smartphone for a few days but now we're hearing of a little surprise under the hood of the Note II. It looks like the T-Mobile Galaxy Note II could in fact support their upcoming 4G LTE network.

Verizon and AT&T launch preorders for Galaxy Note 2

The gigantic Samsung Galaxy Note II is available for preorder from Verizon and AT&T starting today. The ship date for the phone is listed as November 27th for Verizon, and much sooner for AT&T. That means that in just over a month you can have your hands on your very own Note II, as long as you are a Verizon or AT&T customer.

We have some excellent yet terrible news this afternoon regarding the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II. For one, it's indeed coming soon, possibly with pre-orders starting tonight according to rumors. Then the bad news. The Verizon Galaxy Note II will be plastered with Verizon and 4G LTE logos. Verizon's logo will be on back as usual, then front and center right on the dedicated home button.
