Galaxy S III enters testing in Korea, may have non-Pentile screen

Another week, another batch of Samsung Galaxy S III rumors. We know it's coming, because a Samsung representative told AsiaE that the device has entered the testing phase in Samsung's home territory of South Korea. The standard testing regimen apparently takes two months, but Samsung wants it done faster than that - perhaps to get it good and ready for a pre-Olympics rollout. There's also news out of Korean site DDaily that the GSIII uses a 4.65-inch 720p Super AMOLED screen. That sounds identical to the panel found on the Galaxy Nexus, with one important difference: it doesn't use the Pentile pixel layout.

Samsung Galaxy S III rumored to be a mere 7mm thin

Today ends in the letter "y", and you know what that means: more Galaxy S III rumors! The latest scuttlebutt amongst unnamed "industry insiders" points to a 7mm profile on Samsung's flagship device, besting even the Motorola DROID RAZR for skinny dimensions. The rumor comes from ETnews, who also reports that the unnamed sources expect the phone to launch in May, probably as an international model. The only solid news concerning a Galaxy S II successor coming from Samsung is that it won't be showing up at Mobile World Congress, as the company is saving the good stuff for its own event at an unspecified date.

Rumor: Galaxy S III to include waterproof seal

Samsung's Galaxy S III is fast becoming the biggest rumor monger in the Android universe, replacing the Galaxy Nexus at the top of ridiculous speculation. The latest tidbit comes from a "well-placed UK independent phone retailer", who claims that the next version of the Galaxy S family will come with a coating compound that blocks out water and other liquids in a pretty amazing fashion. He claims that both the Galaxy S III and the iPhone 5 will have a waterproof seal provided by Liquipel, whose gadget-dunking demonstrations impressed onlookers at CES 2012.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus coming before the DROID Prime

I almost don't even know where to start. We've heard so many rumors regarding this upcoming device lately that things are starting to get a bit out of hand. First off, we are now hearing the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will launch come November 3rd, on Verizon Wireless. They are known for launching devices on Thursday so this could be somewhat accurate. New rumors are also claiming the Galaxy Nexus will come first, and will not be the DROID Prime, more details after the break.
