Google Nexus 7 second gen coming in July

With so many budget tablets in the works, it would seem only fitting that Google would introduce the second generation Nexus 7 on a mid-summer release. Mainly in order to compete with all the other big names out there who are also slated for summer tablet releases. We've been toying with the concept of whether or not Google would ever actually bring it out in the first place, so to hear that they are, definitely has our interest piqued.

EU Watchdogs inquiring to Google about Android

As of late, it seems as if the EU Regulations Commission has been pestering everyone for their doggy treats. LG considering the elimination of the Optimus high end brand?

In a shocking move, akin to Toyota shutting down its Lexus division, LG is supposedly in talks to shutter the doors of the Optimus nameplate on their higher end devices. The Korean company is well known for making devices that are already on the higher end of the spectrum, but just like the previously mentioned Toyota/Lexus relationship, "Optimus" is their current high end brand. As we know, brand names aren't everything though, or are they?

HTC is preparing to launch a larger version of their popular HTC One, and some rumors are suggesting a display that's 5-inches or bigger to compete with Samsung's GALAXY S 4.
