LG Optimus G Pro headed to AT&T in May

Last year LG released a powerhouse smartphone the Optimus G for AT&T and a few other carriers, and it was quite successful. Now just a few short months later it looks like they are already set to one-up the smartphone as their recently announced Optimus G Pro with a massive 5.5-inch 1080p display is rumored to be headed to AT&T next month.

WhatsApp denies Google acquisition rumors

Yesterday we talked about a new rumor that was making the rounds suggesting that Google was in talks to purchase the WhatsApp Messenger service. Is it still April Fools' Day? A new report today from the somewhat reliable DigiTimes is reporting that Google is looking to get deeper into the notebook and PC market. Only this won't be a Chromebook, instead it will be an Androidbook. First off that name is terrible. And second, if anything it would be a hybrid device like the ASUS Padfone or the Transformer tablet with a keyboard dock.

We're having quite the internal discussion regarding this, and I'm slowly but surely starting to dislike April 1st by the minute. Whether this is real or just another joke is for you to decide. In the meantime we'll just share the details that according to one online retailer Google Glass will be available for rent come April 30th. Just like renting a car, only more expensive.

Facebook announcing their own flavor of Android

Last night Facebook sent out invites for an upcoming event focused all on Android, and it has the rumors a swirling this afternoon. We're hearing their own Facebook phone, a home screen replacement full of News Feeds and all sorts of craziness. One in particular from the New York Times seems to be logical, but anything is possible.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.0 with FHD AMOLED display coming soon

Samsung's line of Galaxy Tabs are pretty nice, but only one rocks their impressive Super AMOLED technology. That being the Galaxy Tab 7.7 that has been available for some time. However, multiple reports have surfaced over the past few weeks suggesting Samsung is preparing to offer those same beautiful displays in full 1080p HD on an array of tablet sizes.

The good guys over at Google are apparently set to start the first production manufacturing right here in the United States of America in the next few weeks. Not only that, but they'll be built close to home right in California.
