Lenovo wants to jump deeper into the Android smartphone market. They have plenty of impressive phones, but we've heard they are looking to buy RIM (BlackBerry) and now new reports claim NEC could be selling their mobile division to Lenovo.
Facebook sent out invites for an upcoming event focused all on Android, and it has the rumors a swirling this afternoon. We're hearing their own Facebook phone, a home screen replacement full of News Feeds and all sorts of craziness. One in particular from the New York Times seems to be logical, but anything is possible.
Galaxy Tab 7.7 that has been available for some time. However, multiple reports have surfaced over the past few weeks suggesting Samsung is preparing to offer those same beautiful displays in full 1080p HD on an array of tablet sizes.
Google Glass. The good guys over at Google are apparently set to start the first production manufacturing right here in the United States of America in the next few weeks. Not only that, but they'll be built close to home right in California.
Amazon smartphone. In fact, this has been popping up in rumor form for quite some time now. Back in December we had heard chatter about the smartphone being made by Foxconn and earlier in the month a rumor came to light suggesting a release was coming in June.
HTC Nexus One is still one of my favorite devices. Sure, multi-touch was a mess and Eclair was a work in progress, but I loved it. Fast forward a few years and Android has evolved, Samsung is a powerhouse, and HTC is struggling to keep their head above water. The Nexus 4 has arrived from LG, we all know what the GALAXY S 4 is about, and now everyone is focused on Motorola. That being said, I want an HTC Nexus 5.
Pebble has a smartwatch, as do several others including Sony. Samsung recently confirmed plans and we have seen other recent introductions such as the cross-platform VEAbuddy announced in the not to distant past. The other side of this smartwatch story deals with rumors though. We have seen rumors about an Apple smartwatch and now it looks like we have rumors of Google.
we reported on a new app and service coming from Google that's being called Google Babble. Which will be the companies new unified messaging service to take on Apple's iMessage and BlackBerry Messenger. Now this afternoon we have what appears to be leaked screenshots of the app, or at least a mild attempt at a mock-up design.
Galaxy Tab 3 related rumors up until this point. Most of them have been dealing with specs, however as of today it looks like the chatter has turned to when the tablet may be announced. In addition to the talk of the Galaxy Tab 3, there is also a brief mention of the Galaxy Note III and some talk of software updates regarding the Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Tab 2.
Motorola smartphone, or the X-Phone, we might as well get the rumor mill started up again today. Motorola's recently hired Advisor, and former Apple evangelist Guy Kawasaki just gave us a head start. After rumors suggesting the X-Phone could be customizable at the Play Store while ordering, Guy's now teasing that very idea.
