Angry Birds Seasons and Pudding Monsters updates arrive in Google Play

It looks like a few game updates have arrived just in time for the weekend. The games include Angry Birds Seasons from Rovio Mobile and Pudding Monsters from ZeptoLab. Both of the updates are already available in the Google Play Store and they are each adding quite a few new levels.

Rovio Entertainment has announced their latest venture today, Rovio Stars, which is a mobile game publishing initiative. Basically, this is Rovio shifting from simply offering their own games to putting themselves in a position to push games from others. The name, Rovio Stars seems to be a play on what they intend to do -- publish and in turn highlight games from other developers that they believe have potential.

Rovio’s Bad Piggies updated with new levels and new gadgets

Rovio has rolled out the latest update for Bad Piggies. This update brings 15 new levels for those playing on the regular version as well as the HD version. Also included with the new levels are a few new tools. Specifically, Rovio has included two new tools which will be used to help you towards your goal of tracking down the "elusive" chocolate cake.

Rovio unveils Accounts for cross-device game play

Rovio has recently announced a new feature that will be rolling out across their line of games. The new feature is called Accounts and it will likely arrive as good news for those who have multiple devices. Basically, Rovio Accounts will allow you to stop playing on one device and pick up where you left off on another device.

Angry Birds Friends launches for Android

As we had been expecting to happen, Rovio Mobile has launched the latest version of Angry Birds for Android. This release is Angry Birds Friends and it brings a close connection to Facebook. As implied by the friends in the name, this version has you competing against your Facebook friends. The game is available for free and promises new tournaments and new levels every week.

Earlier in the month we learned Rovio Mobile was planning to release Angry Birds Friends for Android. This mobile release will follow the initial availability on Facebook, which had the game sitting with about 15 million monthly active users as of the beginning of April. The good news as of today, we now know that Rovio Mobile will be releasing the Android version of Angry Birds Friends later this week.

The game is available for free and has brought support for devices running Android 2.2 or later. Basically, it is a game that most Android users will be able to play -- should they choose to do so.
