Galaxy Nexus Tips: Unlock bootloader, root, recovery, more

Now that many of us have a shiny new Galaxy Nexus in our hands, I'm sure many of our readers are looking for a few tips and guides. With this being a Nexus device this will be one of the easiest phones to unlock, root, and fully enjoy but we have all the details round up just in case. Below you'll find a few links to XDA, Google+ and more.

HTC Amaze 4G Gets permanent One-Click Root

T-Mobile and HTC's new flagship phone the HTC Amaze 4G has already been fully rooted thanks to those sneaky developers at XDA. Not only that but it's as simple as can be using an easy one-click-root method, nothing difficult here. Until today they only had a temp root method that didn't last but now we have a full permanent root method for you to give a try below.

Screencast for Android updated, record right off your screen now with Audio

Surely this isn't the first time we've mentioned this app. It is one thing to take a screenshot of what is being displayed on your Android device, but being able to record full video in perfect quality as you flip through homescreens, demo a new game or anything else your heart desires is what we have here. We recently posted a review of Screencast and screen recorder and our only complaint was we didn't have audio, that all changes today as they've just updated and have introduced audio recording to the application.

Archos 80 G9 tablet rooted, still a work in progress

The new Archos G9 series tablets haven't been out long, but as usual the developer community is already working hard at figuring out the goods and bringing a root method for all. The popular @PaulOBrien has been hard at work with the new Archos 80 G9 Honeycomb tablet and has finally achieved root access. He does however mention that it was not an easy task and it is still a work in progress before any sort of details and instructions will be released. Progress is progress though right?

ScreenCast App Review, Screen Recorder for Android

Today I found a new application for Android that looked pretty awesome, it's called Screen Cast. This is a screen capture and screen recording application for Android smartphones and tablets. Obviously something like this will require root access, but that is to be expected. In the market now by Media Solutions they have both a free version to test the app and try all of the features, as well as a paid version for $2.99 for those wanting to record for a bit longer.

Motorola DROID Bionic Rooted Already

Well ahead of the release date it appears the new Motorola DROID Bionic has already been rooted. Just as a few of us suspected the recent Droid 3 exploit that seems to be working on most newly update to Android 2.3 Motorola devices has also got the job done for the Bionic. I'm sure a few were debating buying the phone for this exact reason so this is good news.

Motorola Droid 3 Receives Root Access [Updated with 1-click]

Thanks to XDA Forums member djrbliss, who hasn't ever actually touched the Droid 3, found a nice and simple exploit that has allowed the Droid 3 to be successfully rooted. He has yet to unveil the full exploit used but he was nice enough to give everyone some instructions to do this on their own. No one click root here, this requires some ADB shell skills so make sure you know what you're getting into.
