HTC Pyramid ROM ported to HTC Desire HD
The gang at XDA has done it again, this time, "CapyChimp" has managed to port the HTC Pyramid Rom to the HTC Desire HD ... and it only took 24 hours. Now granted, with such a slap dash effort to get it ported and out, there's some more work to be done. A LOT of work, in order to iron out the bugs. But it does give users a chance to poke around the neighborhood some. Let's take a look ...

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 gets Gingerbread courtesy of Arc
Sony Ericsson may have abandoned Android OS update plans for the XPERIA X10, but that doesn't mean the modding community is done with the smartphone. Over at xda-developers, TripNRaVeR has fashioned nothing less than Android 2.3 Gingerbread for the X10, based on the version running on the XPERIA Arc. So far, the list of what's working far outnumbers what isn't, though the ROM download is currently offline so that sound support can be added in. Still, network, data, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and Sony Ericsson's Timescape all work as expected.

Android 3.0 Honeycomb hits Nexus One in unofficial port
It'll be Thursday before the first official taste of Honeycomb hits the market - in the shape of the Android 3.0 powered Motorola XOOM - but the quest to put the tablet SDK on all manner of other devices continues with the Nexus One. Google's first Nexus phone has been married up with Honeycomb by the skilled tinkerers at xda-developers, rooted and given a quick tweak to make sure the display works in landscape and that the app drawer is functional. Unfortunately, there's a lot more broken than working right now, so you probably don't want this as your everyday OS. Phone, WiFi, the accelerometer, sound, the camera, Bluetooth and 3D acceleration aren't functional, but if you've been wondering how a tablet-centric OS will look on a 3.7-inch display, now's your chance. Notion Ink Adam’s App Suite Ported to G-Tab
Regardless of all the drama revolving around the Notion Ink Adam, it's software is very impressive. It definitely brings an interesting new take to Android based tablets and this interest is what sparked XDA member gojimi to port them to the G-Tab.

Honeycomb for NOOKcolor ROM released [Update: Video!]
You've seen Honeycomb running on the NOOKcolor in photos and on video; now you can try it yourself. xda-developers has released a Honeycomb ROM for the Barnes & Noble ereader tablet, based on the official Google emulator and various other sources. So far, graphics acceleration, wireless, the touchscreen, buttons and accelerometer all work, but sound and DSP (including hardware video decoding) are still works-in-progress. Nonetheless, this is a handy way to get a jump on Google's official Honeycomb reveal tomorrow if you've got a NOOKcolor to hand; if you haven't, head over to our Honeycomb deep dive instead. [Thanks to everyone who sent this in!] Update: Our old friend Steve Troughton-Smith has put together a walkthrough video: [youtube X2kJaVnXhPQ]

Notion Ink’s Adam rooted & Android Market access added

Notion Ink’s Adam rooted & Android Market access added
Notion Ink's Adam tablet has been successfully rooted, and with it the Android Market added to the slate's software. The handiwork of NotionInkHacks, the root not only opens up Adam to modification but makes a few extra tweaks, for instance adding the Gingerbread keyboard as an option, and restoring the YouTube app. There's also a home switcher and Live Wallpaper support, along with a slight increase to the frame buffer rate which might just make the screen a little smoother. On the flipside, it's expected that using the new firmware will break the official Notion Ink OTA updates, but we're guessing that most users will be content with using offline updates if it means they get access to the Android Market. Notion Ink Eden UI ported to Viewsonic GTablet [Video]

Notion Ink Eden UI ported to Viewsonic GTablet [Video]
Notion Ink's Eden UI has been ported to the Viewsonic GTablet, after the start-up released fix files containing the slate's ROM for those who had bricked their Adam. xda-developers wasted no time in bringing the three-pane interface over to the GTablet, and while it's not 100-percent stable, it's still arguably better than the UI Viewsonic opted for. Interestingly the Notion Ink team seems aware of the hacking efforts, and - at least going by the latest blog post - don't appear too upset. "XDA community, we love you!" CEO Rohan Shravan claims. EVO WiMax Issues? Check your RSA Keys With This Simple App
If you own an EVO and are currently switching between ROMs, you may have noticed a bit of an issue with its 4G connection. This has been found out to be a problem with the "RSA keys" that allow your WiMax radio to function properly. The brilliant users over at XDA have developed an application that will check your device to see if these keys are present or corrupted.

Motorola Issues Apology For Their Statements on Bootloader Policy
Yesterday one of the comments from Motorola on the official YouTube Atrix ad was picked up by the internet. The comment was simple, "if you want to do custom roms, then buy elsewhere." Well, they have now issued an apology stating that the response does not reflect the views of Motorola Mobility.
