CyanogenMod stats opt-out option restored

CyanogenMod users can once again opt-out of the stats gathering. The data is collected towards the appropriately named CMStats and as of today -- CM users now have the option to opt-in, or opt-out of the information gathering. It seems the return of the opt-out feature comes due to an slight uproar within the CyanogenMod user base. The ability to opt-out is nice, however we suspect the folks at CyanogenMod have good intentions when it comes to the data they collect.

HTC goes after ROM repository HTCRuu

HTC has recently set their sites on another ROM repository. This latest is HTCRuu.com and the owner has recently been contacted by lawyers from HTC demanding the site be taken down and the domain name transferred over to them. This all seems to come down to the fact the site was providing ROMs, however the complaints were dealing with trademark infringement and copyrighted material.

Motorola Atrix 2 users get Jelly Bean through official ROM leak

If your phone of choice is the Motorola Atrix 2, then you were probably disappointed to find out that Motorola isn't planning to upgrade the device to Jelly Bean. Last year, the company revealed a list of devices it will be upgrading to Jelly Bean in the coming months, with the Atrix 2 stuck in the column of handsets that are eligible for a $100 credit toward the purchase of a new Motorola phone. That unfortunately means that Jelly Bean just isn't in the cards, so what's an Atrix 2 owner to do?

CyanogenMod 10.1 nightlies land for Verizon Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 7

We have some excellent news to start this week that arrived from the official CyanogenMod crew. They've been working hard on CM10.1, which is the absolute latest Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean, and have now begun nightly builds for the Verizon Galaxy Nexus, the Nexus 7 3G and a few others. While most Nexus devices are already enjoying 4.2 Jelly Bean, Verizon's Galaxy Nexus isn't so here's your chance to enjoy the latest and greatest.
